Absolutely love my AFE. No longer sounds like my vacuum cleaner lol. If you go with one, buy the resonator delete pipe. With resonator, its quiet and drones. Without, its loud at WOT but no drone when driving normal.

Id advise you to listen to them all on youtube, pick out which tone you like and then research the drone situation with it. Best of luck!

exhaust is waaaay too subjective.
Proven by the fact that i personally think the AFE sounds horrible while a user above me loves it. It's one of those things you have to really hear and see for yourself.

There really is no BEST exhaust. I personally had the greddy supreme hg exhaust which i got rid of and running a sequence manufacturing which i love.

If possible you really need to go to a meet or something and hear different exhausts in person. This post is just going to have everyone voting for the one they bought especially when they cost what CTR exhausts cost.

Personally I like the J's Version 1 but its loud for most and some have said the manufacturing was not as good as they thought it should be for the price.

M&M Honda's is really niceas well as Fujitsubo's , Rampage Engineering, Spoon Sports, Amuse makes a good one but haven't heard it or seen anyone running it yet.

The real question is what are you going or wanting out of an exhaust? Looking for sound? weight savings like going with a Ti as opposed to SS? does significant drone matter to you, do you want the ability to make it louder quieter when driving etc etc?

Is the remus really that high pitched like in the videos? I like everything about it but the sound reminds me of a 2000 civic lx with a loud annoying exhaust. Maybe its just the way the videos sound.

Its pretty raspy, especially with catless downpipe.

it's really the catless that gives it that tone. The sequence has a quite a bit of rasp with a catless but absolutely none with the stock cat.

:agree:

IMO you have the hear the exhausts in person to know what sound you prefer---some people like deep and bassy, while others might like loud and aggressive---and if you also care about being lightweight (titanium->$$$). The power gain is negligible from a catback.

I also previously had the Greddy HG 3-tip exhaust and although it sounded good to me (deep and bassy), the drone was unbearable for long drives. I now have the Remus with sound controller and loving it. Sound is raspy and aggressive compared to the Greddy, but there is little to no drone and despite being a bit pricey (~$2K), I would gladly purchase it again.

I personally don't think it's super high pitched, but it is raspy and aggressive, which to me, fits the profile of the FK8.

Im conservative, I dont like loud exhaust that are cop magnets. If that is your case I find the full resonated milltek version matted to a catless catback does the work for me.

I am trying to find "the best" as well, but my definition of "best" is something that has 3 tips(to keep the stock look) not a ton of drone, and not high pitched and raspy. Coming from an Evo(with an AMS) and RSX(with a HKS), it was so easy to find an exhaust I liked, now every exhaust on the market for this car makes it sound... well... like a Honda, in my opinion. I miss single mufflers.
