When I had my S2000 we waved or nodded at each other when we seen someone else driving one in traffic. Same when I owned my Evo X and the two Subaru WRXs I owned (sometimes I forget I'm not in a WRX and wave at a WRX/STI and then think they are probably thinking why is that Honda guy waving at me LOL!!!). I don't see other CTRs but if and when I do and I'm not in wifey's Accord I will wave or give thumbs up

I've only seen one other CTR on the road since I got mine and they honked and gave me a wave as they passed by. I was in the turn lane and gave them a wave back. Most of the times I just get people eyeing the car up and a couple of people have talked to me about it at the gas station or car wash. My PMM color helps me fly a bit more under the radar (if you don't see the wing). When I brought the car home, my girlfriend said "your new car looks like it took steroids and ate your old one."

I got a wave from a CW owner just yesterday. I was too darn slow to roll down my window and wave back. If you happen to read this post...

Haha this is what I'm scared of. It's like they see a type-R and they see you as a challenge since it's almost a full blown race car. So they act accordingly. Not even gonna lie, When I was in my early 20's I did stupid shit like trying to racing a GTR through traffic in my 115 hp hyundai accent hatchback to prove I was the better driver. So stupid lol.
Haha...I did similar stuff. In my 2006 Eclipse GT I tried to outrun a GT 500...I knew I would lose, but it was fun regardless. I did a quick ricer flyby, then we got stuck at the next light and he smoked me. We met eachother in person at a car meet later and had a good laugh about it. Now we're still good friends. In the Type R I'll usually just play chase and keep up with someone trying to mash the pedal. The only time I've gotten smoked so far was with a Hellcat Challenger. Dude left me like I was stopped! Haha...700 HP vs 300...it'll do that. I've been trying to find him at meets to have a laugh about it.

Had this car a month and not a whole lot, few rubber neckers, mostly from STI folks. Encounters with muscle cars is pretty tame. Folks working the drive thru window will say something though, and when I went to the DMV the gal had to do a VIN verification and she said, 'holy crap you're driving a transformer, this thing looks like a transformer!' that was pretty funny. The town over is a college town and I'm sure if I drove on the main road that goes through downtown there'd be probably more attention than I'd like lol

I definitely would if I saw any other R's. Unfortunately, I seem to be representing Upstate NY by myself (it's pickup truck heaven up here).

By contrast, I was just down in D.C. on business, and saw at least half a dozen R's in a 5-day period.

I do. It's part of being in the "car scene" and overall it's a fun and nice gesture. I haven't had another R owner do it to me but I've gotten a few random strangers give me a thumbs up or a wave. About two weeks ago I had a gentleman in an S Class Benz wave to me and say "nice car". I've done it to a few Type R owners when I'm in my daily, a positive response back has been hit or miss.

Saw a red one for the first time today in Sharon Hill, PA. He flashed his light and I waved and beeped. Got a thumbs up from a guy in a older modded civic.
