Here's our current itinerary for anyone that is joining us from PRL or meetup up along the way!

If you aren't aware of the Thursday night/Friday morning events at PRL Motorsports please be sure to check our events on facebook as we are having a social at a brewery Thursday April 4th from 630-9pm and coffee/donuts before we leave accompanied by shop tours 7am-9am.

We will be on the road by 9am, make sure that you have a full tank of gas and are prepared for tolls, and of course SNACKS. If at any point you have an issue along the way anything from gas, to a bathroom stop, or *knocks on wood* a flat, please do not feel like you are being a burden to the group. With this group of people I'm sure you will have several others stop with you and assist. The itinerary is in place so you can catch back up with us if need be and know where we are at, please do not rush we will all end up at the same place, it's not a race. This is quite a haul of a trip pushing 10 hours and 567 miles from PRL to Fontana Dam.

Below is the route we intend on taking.

When arriving at PRL the shop Type-R will be blocking the first entrance, please follow suit behind the R in an organized fashion. The white blips are how you should file in and the yellow is an overflow suggested parking. I doubt we will need extra parking but we are located on a dead end street that isn't too traffic heavy. Our employees will be parking in their own section that morning.

Leaving PRL 845am-9am it is a 3 hour and 15 minute drive (192 miles) until we arrive at Summersville, West Virginia around 12/1230pm. 10 miles after leaving PRL there is a toll booth ($2.80 without EZ Pass, $1.90 with EZPass ) and before we hit the West Virginia border there is another toll (Looks like $2.30 without EZPass, with EZPass is $1.40). Have some cash ready and we should file through quite easily. EZ-Pass holders get bonus points!!!

in Summersville there is a Wendy's, Walmart, Taco Bell, Long John Silvers. Choose what you want for lunch and we will meet back up in the highlighted area, unsure of which parking lot will have the least amount of activity (Either Foodland or the "abandoned" lot behind Wendy's)

Summersville, WV to Wytheville, Virginia is 120 miles and 2 hours. ETA Arrival time would be around 3pm. We will be meeting at Walmart parking lot, there is a McDonalds, Sheetz, Bojangles, Starbucks, Little Caesars at this location. If anyone from Virginia area coming through wants to meet up with the group here would be the best time. A refuel is highly suggested for the next stretch.

Wytheville, VA to Fontana Village, NC is roughly 4 hours 15 minutes and 258 miles. Arrival ETA is 730-8pm. It is highly recommended you stop for fuel before diving into the mountains. There are two options for fuel at this point, we cannot feasibly all stop at the same one as they are both small locations. Some of the group should stop at the Exxon just past Dillboro, and the other half should stop at the Exxon past Bryson. Be aware that the gas station at the resort can become very crowded in the morning and will be closed when we arrive.

***Waynesville to Bryson City we experienced a lot of police presence in this area last year. Highly recommend locking in around the speed limit, and it is very easy to blast through these roads without realizing how fast you are going.

You may want to pick up some food at one of the last stops before the Fontana Village Resort. Unsure of what food options will be available when we arrive and the hours of operation during this off season time.

Please please please drive safe during this whole trip, there is no glory in going beyond your limits hundreds of miles from home. Refrain from street racing, burnouts, and causing a havoc wherever we go. Ultimately this kind of behavior will go back onto us as we are probably the only car with a 5ft banner on the side with our company logo. Nearest hospital and amenities is quite the hike from the resort. Pack accordingly with anything you may need. If you see our crew stop and chat with them, take pictures, and have a great time. See you on the Dragon!
