I know this is a CTR forum but you can't tease us with the NSX lol.... do you have an Instagram?
Will.power88

what class are you racing in ? also is the ultra racing trunk bars needed? the evs cage goes side to side as well. it would be the same thing pretty much but different mount points no?
Not racing in any class. I wish I had the time to race (maybe someday) but in the meantime this car is just going to be a track toy. I haven't received my roll cage yet and there isn't too much info on it so I'm not sure where the mounting points are. Worse comes to worst, we just have an extra trunk bar which I can sell if i have no need for it.

The issue is that when I use your link it rolls over to the .co.uk address and the misihimoto site in the UK does not have than can :(

If I manually type the .com address it still forces me over to the UK one!

I will call them to find out what the score is.
That's weird. That's where i bought my catch can.

Here is the part number directly from my order. Let me know if there is anything else i can help you out with!

Are you planning to put E85 in it (flex fuel kit) or are you restricted by the class that you're racing? I'm not even sure if anyone makes a FFK for the CTR, just wondering. Enjoy your modding process. Looks like fun.
I haven't really looked into putting E85 into the car so i have no idea if it can even be done. Also, from my previous experiences with flex fuel capabilities, i didn't really enjoy having it on my car. Yes, the car was faster but most of the tracks don't sell E85 and I always had to refill the damn thing because it burned so fast.

Btw. Sorry, wasn't trying to tease. Just figured I'd keep things civic type r related on a type r forum. DIdn't want to look like a douche who was showing off. haha. Here's a recent pic:

Nah. I sold it right as I was about to open my restaurants. I was also starting to really get into track and the s2k was basically built for that purpose. So all in all it wasn't worth keeping as I was barely driving her. The sad thing is that the GTR is still one of my favorite rides and I'm still in contact with the new owner so he'll send me pictures from time to time (just to remind me of what I'm missing). I'll probably buy it back from him one day or if the R36 comes out before then... ehhh... we'll see.

Chapter 4 - I couldn't resist :(

I basically went HAM with all the bracing parts from ultra racing. The parts came pretty quickly (around 3-4 days turnaround time) and they seem like they were built well. BUT WHY IS IT WHITE? Jeez. I guess it would've been ok if my car was another color but not on this black mobile. haha.

Off to the powder coater you go. See you guys in a week.

After dropping off the parts to get powder coated, i actually had some time to check in at work. Needless to say, lots of work piled up so i ended up staying at work a little longer than expected. No worries. Came home to this:

Was going to wait for my cousin to come over so we could install it together but... I couldn't wait. haha. Fed the baby, pulled the type r into the garage, and installed the wing in about an hour. Pretty easy and straight forward install. The wing is a direct stock replacement so no drilling or anything like that was necessary.

Chapter 5 - "Brute Strength"

Parts have been coming in somewhat randomly. Couple that with the fact that I have a newborn baby to take care of and i think it's safe way to that there's really no more order to installing parts on this car. haha.

My EVS Roll cage + rear seat delete came in. I think I bought the last one in stock (i've been noticing that a lot of these parts are the "last one in stock" hmmmm... ) so it came rather quickly. Anyways, luckily my NSX was going to go into the shop for some mods so I had space for it in the garage. I really need a bigger house... lol.

Spent about 20-30 min just unboxing the damn thing. It was so well packaged.

Honda Civic 10th gen PEEFREE's Civic Type R FK8 Build thread - Track / Street jFgPu8

The rear seat delete came in it's own box. Had no idea the thing was carbon. I was actually expecting a sheet metal type of material but who's complaining about carbon fiber? haha.

Spent the next !@#!@$k'ing 1-2 hours trying to single handedly lift the cage into the car. Tried it from the rear doors multiple times. No go. And then I went in from the trunk. NOPE. Tried the side again at a different angle. FFFFFFFFFFFFFKKKKKKKK.

I was about to give up until i got mad and decided to completely take one of the doors off. Lo and behold. That did the job.

Once the front was in, everything was actually fairly easy to install.

The rear part uses existing bolts and what not but requires that you trim the carpet a bit. No biggie. WIth the cage bolted up, I decided to put the rear seat delete in.

And that's it. Pics:

No one will ever know the amount of blood / sweat / tears / profanity that went into installing this. lol.

some useful tips for cage install:

1) Have a friend on hand to help lift the cage! I'm a bigger guy so I was able to manage but most of you guys are probably weaklings ;) jk

2) The easiest way to fit the front part of the cage into the car is to remove one of the doors (4 x 12 mm, 1 x 10 mm bolts, 1 x plug).

3) Install the cage first BEFORE the rear seat delete. The thing is carbon but i don't think it'd be too happy with a large amount of weight on it.

Chapter 6 - Radium Engineering Coolant Tank

Things have been really catching up to me. Running on 2 hours a sleep at night and then jumping in to work for a full 12 hours is not fun. After I was able to catch some Zzzz's, work a bit, and take care of my newborn. I squeezed in a little bit of time to install the radium engineering coolant tank.

I've used Radium engineering stuff before but last time I had my mechanic do all the installs so I guess i didn't really have the opportunity to appreciate how well thought out everything was. From the product to the installation instructions, everything was just ... well executed. I don't have anything bad to say about them. haha.

The install was pretty straight forward. I just followed this video to do it which IMO was way better than the written instructions Radium provides:

Took me about 2 hours. Could've been faster but I was trying to take my time to make sure i don't eff anything up. Ran the car a bit, checked the coolant level, and everything was fine. Installed pic:

Honda Civic 10th gen PEEFREE's Civic Type R FK8 Build thread - Track / Street C9uKq8

Note: I just thought of something that I wish they would improve. And that was the fact that I wish they would've included a matching coolant tank cap. It's something minor but I feel like it would've really added that little touch to it to make it extra special you know?

Chapter 7 - Weathertech for rainy days and my big ass heavy feet

I have never purchased a car where the carpet lasted more than a few months. Maybe it's the way I drive, the size of my feet, or whatever. The carpet just always ends up looking nasty. It was no different with the type R.

Since receiving my car, I've driven her a 140 miles. That's all it took for the carpets to start disintegrating.

So out the oem carpets went, and in came the weathertech. Such a nice upgrade. Best part about it? I guess it doesn't disintegrate. haha.

Hey! That's the video I made for Radium on their coolant expansion tank - glad you got some benefit from it. Very nice build by the way!
