Wow I must say I'm impressed by the age diversity in this forum. I thought it might be all young guys/gals. I'll be 42 in April and this is my first Si and also my first Honda. I pretty much owned two Mazdas before my Si. I had a 2003.5 Mazdaspeed Protege that I love dearly and that car got me into turbo cars. I wanted a v6 accord coupe, but they were a little more than I wanted to pay (yes I'm a cheap ass XD) so I went with the Si instead.

Still 44... but wanted to say this is my third Civic. Had a 1993 Civic CX hatchback, the 2012 Si Coupe and the 2019 Si Coupe. Both Si's came in white.

My previous cars were: 1978 Pontiac Catalina, 1986 Mercury Topaz followed by a 1994 Pontiac Sunbird Coupe in white. 1980 GMC Vandura 1500 in white. A 1996 Chrysler Intrepid. A 2006 Chevy Silverado LS in white. 2016 Honda Fit EX-L 6M in Black.

Something about white vehicles....

Drove (parents' cars) 1987 Ford Thunderbird, 1993 Pontiac Sunbird, 2006 GMC Safari, 2008 GMC Vandura 2500, 2010 Chevy Cruise, couple of Oldsmobiles.

Test drove in the past 5 years: 2012 Kia Sportage SX, 2016 Ford Focus ST, 2016 Ford Fiesta ST, 2016 Subaru WRX STI, 2017 Civic Si, 2016 Civic EX-L Touring.

This year, I was waiting on the 2020 Kia Forte GT sedan, but when I asked Kia if the sedan was going to come here in North America, they ignored me, so I headed to my Honda dealer.

I'm 68 in May, bought my SI April 2018. I'm a life long car nut (even bigger motorcycle nut). I love the little devil so far and am just on the edge of ordering a K tuner. Other than Weathertech floor mats and tinting all around, it's stock. Mine is Rally Red, and I also own a 1999 Honda VFR800 (gear driven cams!) in Italian red (they are the same!). I've found the SI to be almost as fun as my bike, but not quite (I'm an old flat tracker turned off road racer, now retired). As much fun as I am sure the car would be in Northern Arkansas, I'll take the bike, thanks. Nothing like a well balanced bike in the twisties!
Hey MikRomo, sounds like you and I are kind of on the same page. I have a Triumph Thruxton Cafe Racer. Please let me know which tune you’re going with and why? I’m in the same position. I do NOT need the PRL Air Intake, Intercooler, exhaust etc.... I’m just seeking 30 to 40 HP’s to increase the performance and eliminate the rev hang. I’m not sure if getting the K-Time v1.2 stage 1 or spend the extra for TSP....... I’m wondering if the standard tune is safer than the TSP

Buy the Ktuner V1.2 from TSP and they will give you their Stage 1 tune for free.

Just bought my kTuner V1.2 from TSP and the Stage 1 tune comes included for free! Ran the standard basemaps for a few days but the Stage 1 tune is definitely faster. I’m limiting boost under 4K rpm using the Quick Boost By Gear feature to preserve the clutch a bit.
