In for results on this! I'm tuning with Derek now on my GTX2860R kit currently running a Grimmspeed manual boost controller in originally was gonna go with the cortex but didn't. I might have to revisit that controller when I look to add meth too! Good luck man!
They are getting close to finding a way to retain the oem electronic wastegate

I'll be getting tuned by Derek as well :) Hopfully we'll be working out all the kinks for you guys xD. there will be a separate thread created once I install everything. I'll put the link on this one and also link back to this thread.

I might be throwing in a flex fuel as well now. E30 paired with VP M1 would make a beautiful combination! I order my final group of parts next week. And install will begin the first week of April, giving me plenty of time to correct something that might go wrong. Appointment with derek is on May 8th. I'll be driving from ME->PA.

Derek got his hands on a Cortex recently and is very positive were going to have some good results on this platform. I've considered reaching out to @PRL Motorsports for there intake manifold spacer... direct port meth injection anyone?lol

Nice! Tho I'll probably still continue to run the cortex at this point. Good for those that don't want to purchase a separate controller.

Well I mean using the external boost controller you lose function of boost by gear

Yup. And if you want to keep it you need pay $. The cortex supports it

I guess lol it's kind of a waste of money if you can just retain the stock electronic wastegate that performs way better.

100% agree. If PRL offers a cheap option to those who already have a kit, which they probably will, I'll probably switch. But still keep the cortex EBC I already have for the meth injection.

Gotcha well people are already running meth with oem electronic wastegate and Ktuner with PRL big turbo or 27Won and stock turbo too

I've been running on the stock stage 2 Snow Performance controller for awhile now, no complaints. It's up to the task.

But one thing I don't have is a good fail safe. Which the cortex supports, I picked the meth pressure sensor.

While yes development is in the works for retaining the factory electronic wastegate actuator the fabrication is going to be expensive. I've been in talks with people so it could very well end up being the same price as just getting a solid EBC like the cortex. I will hold off a bit more but strongly considering switching over to the cortex unit

Ahhhhhh yeahhh buddy! Haha good stuff looking forward to this! I just finished my tune on pump 93 car feels fantastic very responsive and extremely fun. I took a friend for a ride this weekend who has an SI with bolt ons and flex fuel and he was impressed and said it felt very comparable. So the fact that just pump gas feels there way and I haven't even added ethanol or methanol yet it's gonna be a party! Lol

Either way it should be interesting! I'll be pairing the meth injection with a flex fuel kit, running E30. Hopefully no engine boom
