Hey straight noob here when it comes to buying wheels. I've got "oem" procontact tx continental 17" tires and I'm looking to put ENKEI Kojin17X8 5x114.3 wheels with an Offset of 40 on my '18 hatchback ex. Can anyone PM me anything I should know or let me know if this is compatible?

Won’t be compatible, the 17’s won’t clear the Brembos and Type R is 5x120.

I would've just made a new thread if I knew how, but I don't have a type R regrettably as I stated. I have the EX hatch.

Put on some TE37SL
18 x 9.5 +38
Firestone Firehawk 500 265/35/18
Stock height (for now)

I opted to get hub centric rings. Quick warning if you're looking at Mackin ones. Make sure you get the correct ones.

I had to get another set specifically for our sizing after a bit of headache and getting the rings out of the rim. The rims are much harder a material than the rings...so good to know.

Wrong Set
73.1mm -> 64.1mm

TE37 Saga Time Attack 18x9.5 +44, set on putting 265/35 tyres but seeing some doing 255/40 as well. Any pros and cons for this? Thanks

The 255/40 is closer to the stock diameter so the speedometer will be more accurate. That is the size I went with this time around. Although I did long contemplated the 265/35 since that would have had more grip since it is slightly wider.

I'm looking at tirerack and looking at tyres diameter and rolling, 255/40R18 is definitely closer to stock 245/30R20 we have. Would you happen to have a photo of 255/40 on 18x9.5 rims, I'm looking through every page to find some examples. Thank you! :)

255/40 has closer rolling diameter than a 265/35 so your speedometer would be more accurate. Not like the 265/35 is a big difference though.

I have 265/35 on my sagas because I wanted a wider tire.

Thanks for this.. I'm searching through the thread for some photo on 255/40 on 18x9.5 +44, would like to see how it looks :)
