Black stock exhaust tip?

Has anyone decided to paint their stock HDMI exhaust tips black? I have the lunar silver Si and I dont know about you folks but I cant stand chrome on silver cars. I'm thinking about painting the exhaust tip black with high heat paint... probably grill paint. If anyone else has done this, please share pics. Would love to see how it actually looks finished.

Did you ever follow through on this? I'm tempted to paint my tip black ('18 si coupe). Or maybe there are some aftermarket solutions (just tip, I'm fine with the stock exhaust)?

Yes, just cleaned it with simple green, nothing special. Holding up very well. Hard to get decent photo that shows this how it "really" looks, but I'm pleased.

Does anyone have an update on how the painted HDMI tips last over time? Did you scuff the chrome surface? I love the look on a blacked out car.

I’m considering painting mine soon, I wanted to add the magnaflow exhaust system instead but I heard it doesn’t add much. I’ll probably go with black, but does anyone have any other color suggestions?

I've painted the inside of my 4" tips. My advice... Be careful with a pressure washer. Spray paint by itself doesn't stick very well to chrome.
