I just noticed today that the stitching that connects the bottom bolster to the cushion has ripped, and has unthreaded (leaving tiny holes). The seat foam is now exposed. Car only has 3700 miles on it (2100 miles driving back from the dealership). I hardly drive the car.

This should be covered under warranty. I have an appointment with the dealership in 3 days.

Let us know how it goes - I wonder if they can simply sew it up or have to send it to an upholstery shop or have to do something more drastic like replace the seat.

Or just tell you to screw. Either way, let us know!

I assume they will replace the seat cover but who knows. On my ITR I had an issue with the seat bolster and they replaced the cover on the driver seat.

They will probably replace the cover.

This is very interesting...
A chap over here in the UK has little tears in the material in his bolster within just over a year of ownership, but Honda have put this down to "wear and tear" and it's acceptable to have a failure like this within this time period...
This I would not expect from a Honda in such a short time!

Threads coming apart is not wear and tear. I would never accept that response from any manufacturer on a warrantied car.

Nice, good to see they are replacing it without having to argue.

Ask if you could still get Honda's Owner Comfort which would have cover the repair or replacement of that tear.

I just noticed a rip on mine. I need to swing it by a dealer and see what it’ll cost. Maybe they might replace it free since it was their vehicle at the Chicago Autoshow last year that wasn’t locked (salesman told me it was supposed to be) so it had a million and one people getting I cannot and out of it.

Frustrating they’re ripping. I would avoid ever putting a knee on the seat or having people that are too big for the seats jump in them. Si seats are a lot more forgiving and durable just by having lower/wider bolsters.

Getting the cushion cover replaced today. Received a call saying it was ready. Got in to drive home and I realized the seat frame is on the outside of the foam/cover. The biggest clue to this was my ass was even more snug. Lol. Now I have to wait longer.

My wife and infant son dropped me off, and I feel bad they have to wait here with me because we have plans to go to the store afterwards.

I also noticed they scratched my b pillar panel. Now I have to go back for them to replace it.

B-pillar scratched up too...sheeeesh what a nightmare. It's also unsettling knowing the stitching came apart with such low miles. I baby the shit out of my car so I will have to check mines once I get home from work.
