My experience exactly also and well said. Only difference is I knew at once it was perfect. :) The stage 2 kit is aces. You do this or hope to do it as a one time expense. So glad I did on mine also. Outstanding kit.
And it’s actually a lot easier to install then I thought it would be. It is a perfect upgrade from stock. It’s better in every way without being to stiff or tight. I’m very happy with it

Ok I’ll have to admit it took a little getting used to. But it didn’t take long. The stage 2 shift kit is awesome! I’m not going to upgrade. The stage 2 is perfect. The combination of all the upgraded parts work perfectly together. I love it! It feels so precise going through the gears. I highly recommend it. Don’t get the stage 1, just get the stage 2. It is exactly what I wanted. I give thanks to Acuity

Really glad you're both enjoying those stage 2 kits. The stage 3 kit has a lot of interesting features and definitely gives you that race car feel, but we also tell people who are on the fence that the stage 2 kit is a very capable upgrade with a very appreciable change from stock. Thanks for the love!

For my LX, the stage 2 is everything I wanted in a shifter. Really well done. Accurate, tightened and precise. For a daily driver all you can ask for.

Glad you dig it! To me, the stage 2 is what I wish the car came with stock.

Just letting anyone following this thread know: we just shipped all backorders and have about 60 units in-stock. They may move quickly. More are in production already. :)

Oooo, I gotta get one. Oh wait :D.

Canadians: Best price on the shifter is no doubt teknotik.com https://shop.teknotik.com/acuity-10th-gen-civic-fully-adjustable-performance-short-shifter.html I just checked with teknotik and they do have the shifter in stock. No affiliation with Teknotik.com other than being a very satisfied customer.

While I'm here, a six-month update: Still awesome. Works fine at -30 and all winter conditions. I believe that the shift effort, a.k.a. stiffness, has been reduced to close to stock levels. I mentioned in my initial review that a "firm hand" was needed; I don't feel that is the case anymore for the most part. The only thing is 4-5 and 5-4 require a more deliberate shift than stock - however, this could be restricted to my particular prototype.

Ordered mine today..
Shift quality from what I have read and see on various videos is night and day difference.
So looking forward to this install!

Oh, while I think on.. when's Acuity doing a RHD accelerator pedal spacer?
In production, currently. Perhaps as soon as late April. :)

Ouch!! For those who order direct from Acuity into the UK.. I got stung today by DHL and our beloved government for £117 import and taxes on my lil consignment from Russ.
Check with Dream automotive or Tegiwa UK first to see if the overall cost is cheaper!
Learn from my mistakes chaps.

Ahhh, sorry to hear that. Customs seems to strike almost randomly on some shipments. For our friends up North in Canada, domestic vendors include Garage 16, Teknotik, SpeedFactorRacing and JDM Addiction. In the UK, like you said, we have Tegiwa and Dream Auto. Although most vendors do not have 1892 just yet, I believe both UK vendors will have some soon.

Russ.

That's impressive, the parcel arrived this morning.. less than 2 days from shipment to delivery, USA - UK.
Shame I'm away with work for the next 2 weeks, or else I'd be installing this now!

Dang Russ,

Wasn't expecting to get the shifter this quick let alone actually install it today. Thought I'd be installing it next weekend. So far though the short drive I took after install was pretty awesome. Thanks for the quick delivery.

Everyone Else,

I set gate spacing to around 15% reduction and went all in on the throw deduction and lowest knob setting with it at its most forward position. So far love these settings. I'll report back once I drive it more than a week with it.

Here's some glamour shots before I installed it today.

That frankly is engineering porn. Extremely sexy. What a beautiful piece of design and craftsmanship!
