hey guys ,

I did a muffler delete about a year ago. And now I’m getting tired of the drone at 2k rpms ~ 3k . It seems like from the outside it sounds nice but in the inside it’s just out noise and you can’t really tell the noise is coming from the exhaust.

Was looking at an actual full exhaust and curious if the greddy sounds good inside the car . I know there’s videos out there’s but it’s really not the same . My muffler delete really is starting to bother me and I drive with the rims at 3k+ just to not hear the “noise” resonating in my car .

How is after market exhaust noise level? I’m about to put the stock mufflers back on soon because I just can’t deal with this everyday since I’m driving more these days.

Thanks!

I have the greddy exhaust with stock down pipe. It’s a very quiet exhaust and gives off mild crackles and pops in 1st and 2nd gear. Recently I’ve been driving with my back seats down to make it a little louder. You will have zero drone. I personally love it.

Not much drone at all IMO. If there is, it's not noticeable enough to bother me.
cool thanks, so theres no big "hum" in the interior as you accelerate. i know my muffler delete gets loud on the inside but it doesnt sound like its coming from the back exhaust, just sounds like everything resonating in the inside.

Ive had the greddy on my hatch sport for about a year and i love it..very minimal drone on the highway(Tire noise is louder than the drone)
Same here, and I agree.
How's 3rd and 4th gear at around 2k rpms? mine is drony at that point and sounds like my interior is shaking. not really fun and im worried another exhaust will be similar. since its a hatch it seems the tone resonates in the interior , with the greddy does it "sound" like its coming from the back or is the entire interior just loud?

any other feedback for the exhaust would be cool.

also any of you happen to have different angled pictures? not much online. would be super awesome!

I think at 2k rpm is when it would occur if cruising. I have an si sedan and stock cat and I have no drone anywhere with greddy. Mine does have 2 mufflers maybe that’s the difference

Have you thought of just getting a new muffler, rather than putting stock back on or jumping GReddy? I’m saving up to get the stock mufflers replaced off my hatch sport and go with either a Magnaflow or Flowmaster DBX in place of the two chambered mufflers. I’m hoping that way I get the sound without terrible drone.

because when you do something custom there's no guaranty it'll turn out good. these companies spent a lot of time for R&D and should theoretically sound good. this is why i dont want to gamble anymore with the exhaust sound. my muffler delete wasnt exactly how i liked it

Can anyone speak for the hatch if I have to worry about soot/burning the bumper if I were to get this exhaust?

I have also installed a Greddy catback to my 2018 sport and i have a prl catted dp and fp to this and the drone in 6th from 2500rpm until you reach 3000rpm is deafening! I have to keep at 3k to stop the droning its really bad! But before i installed it i had noticed the front piece of the centre pipe was 2" hole that opened to 3" all the way to the back box. So because of this i am 3"dp 3" fp 2"-3"centre 3"mid pipe then back box. So there is a bottle neck effect now with my system and im starting to think this causes the drone. Does anyone else have this set up?
