I'm on my 7th Hondas/Acuras and I've rarely had any issues with any of them. Here's where my current 17 Si ranks:

1. 88 Honda Accord DX hatch - Manual. Best car I ever owned. Wiped out by Hurricane Andrew 1992 but I still drove it without windows for 3 wks.
2. 96 Acura TL - Auto. 5 Cyl. Great car I probably should have kept it for 10 years instead of just 3. Definitely the best sedan I've ever been in.
3. 88 Accord LX-I sedan - Manual. I bought it used, still very nice it survived my military tours in Panama and Guam but was DONE in 97.
4. 17 Civic Si - Manual. Great car esp. considering it's a 1st year model. I bought it salvage but it was fixed up and I haven't had any problems. Fast, smooth, quiet. Gas mileage for me is about 27-28 City/33 Hiway. A giant leap forward compared to the last few gens. Infotainment is the one huge weakness.
5. 03 Acura TL - Auto. Really not as good as my 96 TL. An overall letdown but this was when I was buying a different used car every year or two.
6. 90 Prelude. Auto w/4 wheel steering. I bought this when I was stationed in Tokyo for $2700 in 1997. It was very small but that was a good thing in Tokyo. Terrible gas mileage but I rarely went very far.
7.00 Honda Civic Si - Manual. Way too small for me at age 34, felt like a tin can. Thankfully Fast and the Furious came out and someone stole this Civic(twice lol!) as it was a young man's car IMHO.

My Civic is my first experience with the brand. I guess that makes it number 1 by default, but I'm really enjoying it so far.

If we're counting all past cars regardless of brand, it's probably number 3.

We owned two Acura TL's in the past. A Civic simply cant compare to them. Different class of cars with different price points. Same with the Si I owned before. Compared to the previous 2 Civics and a Corolla the 2019 is heads and tails better in just about every way.

1st - 1994 Honda Accord lx 5speed (2ndCar)
Was my second car and after coming from an eagle talon that would die on me for weeks at a time this was a welcome change. Bought it from my neighbour for $1000 and it had over 300,000kms on it. Delivered pizza with it and absolutely beat the piss out of it and sold it 2 years later for $2800. Still my favourite car (not just Honda) I’ve ever owned.

2nd - 2017 Honda Civic sport 6speed (6thCar)
My first ever brand new car. Bought it from the showroom at my local dealer and was the very first one sold on Vancouver island. I recently just traded it in for an Acura MDX but I still love it so much and I will be getting another (or and R) in the future.

3rd - 1999 Honda Civic cx 5speed (3rdCar)
Bought it in perfect shape and completely stock with very low kms and went into full tuner mode. Nearly every part of it was replaced and upgraded and spent years getting it to exactly what I wanted. Was incredibly fun and quick with the lsvtec I threw in it. In the end I got tired of it and left the Honda game for a year (didn’t last long).

4th - 2005 Acura RSX type-s 6speed (7thCar)
When I traded in my 17 civic hatch for an Acura MDX I took over my wife’s car and am still getting to know it and see how I feel about being back in a coupe. But it has an insanely fun k20z1 in it and is in amazing shape. I’m sure it will climb up the list over the next little bit.

5th - 2013 Honda Civic Si speed (5thCar)
After leaving the Honda game for a little over a year, I was right back to square one. I need a car the I can turn the key and go. So I sold the WRX and found a CPO civic Si at my local dealer. It was actually a fun car but it didn’t have the same mojo the previous Honda’s had. I don’t know what it was but it just didn’t have the umph. I still really liked it but nothing about it stands out besides it’s reliability. Traded this in for the 17 hatch.

6th - 1998 Subaru WRX 5speed (4thCar)
I imported this car to Canada and what a bad idea. It was fast and awd but had non stop issues and was an absolute pig on gas. Like literally a v8 truck could get nearly better gas mileage. Just had a very bad experience with the ej20k. It converted me back to Honda’s so I will be forever appreciative of that.

Dead last - 1995 Eagle Talon 5speed (1stCar)
Wow what a piece of shit.

1. 2018 Si Sedan - power, steering, handling, lots of room. An amazing car.
2. 2012 Si Coupe - Vtech yo! Decent handling.
3. 1990 Civic LX Wagon...yes wagon. - multi-link front end, still the best steering feel of any of my Honda's. Screaming motor (modified).
4. 2006 Civic LX Coupe - good trans, decent handling, good looker.
5. 1985 Civic 1500S Hatch - Fun car, modified motor...rusted out at suspension mounting points...rust, rust, rust
6. 1998 Civic CX Hatch - it was red... not much nice to say about it...I did have a killer sound system in it.

All were manual transmission cars, only did 1 clutch (on the 98) due to disc hub spring breaking.

1(tie). 1994 Integra GS-R Hatchback
3. 2017 Civic SI Sedan
4. 2001 Prelude SH

7) 2004 VW Jetta GLI

I'll always love the Fit and the Ridgeline because they're two brilliantly utilitarian vehicles in a way the Si could never be. That being said, the Si is my favorite "sports" car I've owned because it does everything so well. The BMW was great to drive but reliability was questionable. The Mazda was great to drive but uncomfortable and impractical. The Subaru was brutal and impressive but not all that fun to drive compared to a dedicated RWD chassis. The VW was just steaming pile of shit.

There’s some duplicates in there I didn’t list (Evos), and other crummy cars that I didn’t bother to list because they don’t really matter.

A coworker bought a eagle talon all wheel drive new back in 1995 all I remember that she was using a loner car from the dealership because it was in the shop a lot so you’re right “wow what a piece of shit “

Always and will have the DC5 a special place in my heart, love the K20 technology and power. The B20 Integra was soo much fun, was the best boosted car I ever owned. My current Honda the Civic HB sport CVT is a great car for my old ass (39). I can still have a little fun and at the same time get great MPG cause I use my car to travel a lot for work! I almost practically live in my car on average 6-8hrs a day. I do however miss the sound of the VTEC crossover of my old DC5. Currently saving up to get an S2000 as my weekend play car. Nothing beats the sound of the S2000 reving up to 9k!

- My first new car, sold my 1990 Camero RS. Newly married with a kid on the way and needed a reliable family car. Great little car til the day we traded it in.
~fast forward past many crappy cars I drove as my wife drove the nicer car as we were raising a family and broke.

2016 Civic Sedan Lx
-My first new car since my previously mentioned Civic in 2000. Great car with zero problems in 3 years but pretty basic and I wanted an upgrade.

-Love this car and can't wait to see what the 11th gen brings.

I'm still with the girl I gave up my Camero for 20 years ago and she still drives the nicer car. She just got a new Chevy Traverse High Country which means my next upgrade may be a CTR. :drive:

1 - 2001 Acura CL-S. Just a fantastic all around coupe. Still miss it. 260hp VTEC v-6. One of the first (certainly my first) OEM gps screens. Maybe the best leather seats I've ever sat in (including the Boxster I had after this). Not sports car looks, but certainly sportier looking than a boring family car. The new civic below almost edged this out sheerly due the Acura being an Auto.
2 - 2018 Civic SI coupe. I continue to be tickled with the trifecta here of price, performance, and mpg. I needed a boring commuter... I ended up with a super fun stick shift turbo that gets almost hybrid economy for an econo-box price. If I had sprung for leather maybe even would have finished #1.
3 - 2009 Honda Element. Purely a function over form play. I was heavily into cycling for about 11 years, and this car was the perfect cycling car. Was rock solid reliable. A little surprised they couldn't coax better mpg out of it, but the aerodynamics are terrible I suppose.
4 - 1981 Civic. If I sat in this car today, I'm sure I'd be extremely underwhelmed. But at the time, it was amazing to me that Honda could deliver so much better quality and reliability than the American brands at a cheaper price.
5 - 1987 Acura Integra. Obviously Honda made huge strides in these few years, not to mention the upscale brand... and objectively this car was light years ahead of the '81 Civic. But the Civic wins on impact. By now, you expected this from Honda. And, frankly, this Integra was pretty boring.
6 - 2010 Pilot. Came into this by marriage. I'm not pseudo-SUV guy. This was a decent mall crawler... same old Honda reliability, very nice leather interior. Boring, poor mpg. Decently functional.

1. 2017 Camaro V6 6-speed with dual mode exhaust. First new car i ever bought. Yes, it was "only a V6", but holy hell it sounded incredible and it was considerably faster than the Si. I only owned it for about a year and sadly, i just couldnt afford it, so i had to dump it.
2. 2018 Honda Civic Si - this car is just awesome. Its so much fun to drive... very close second. If it sounded like the Camaro, it would probably be #1, lol.
3. 2004 GTO - what a great car that was... but it was an auto so it loses some points. That was the first and only car with a real V8 that ive owned, and i do miss it.
4. 1986 Fiero SE V6 4 speed manual - i owned this car at the same time i had the GTO, and i almost enjoyed driving it more, lol. It sounded pretty good, actually, and it got a lot of positive attention.
5. 1995 Grand Am GT with a 5-speed manual and the 2.4L quad 4. That was the first "fun" car i ever bought and it was pretty great. It wasnt real fast of course, but I loved it.

Ive had a bunch of other cars, but nothing else worth noting or ranking.

2017 Si Sedan- Drives beautifully, comfortable, plenty quick, handles like butter knife, and has all the amenities I need.

2015 Si Sedan- My first car I owned that was all about the driving experience, loved it but needed more low down torque and would have liked a bit better gas mileage. Good looking car, handled well, and impresses me with its features at the time.

2003 CRV- What a utility vehicle, tons of space, rode comfortable, did I say roomy? My first car that I adored. Unfortuantely I traded it in at around 115,000miles after the grimlings started eating away at its electronics and paint job started to deteriorate badly.

1999 Mazda- It got me to point A-B.
