That sucks man!! The 1/4 is the worst place to get hit imo, especially when they have to replace it as it’s all welded.

So how do you afford to drive a Cadillac and no insurance? WOW. And he will never get insurance either. Fortunately, I have not had to use it but glad I have a dash cam just in case.

Ouch! Everyone should go through a POS old ass Caddy phase. Mine was during my POS old Datsun phase...It's POS old ass Caddy....... Not much to afford there.
Good luck OP. Watch out for crazy people in Caddy's. We're everywhere. If the geriatrics don't get you... the poor folks w/o insurance will.

I hope it comes out well. It’s nice that they’re replacing it. But my experience tells me you will always be able to tell it was worked on, the paint my might betray the rest of the job.

Always dreading this. Two years ago I got tboned parallel parking in front of my old place in my TL.. While waiting for insurance to handle it, I was driving a family members car in the meantime, not even two days later someone backs up into me in walmart

Your insurance company will probably go after the driver. The worst part of this is that you will have a depreciation in value to your car, in other words you are going to never get what's it's worth due to the accident. Accident will be on carfax and other reportable agencies and once identified your value goes into a repaired/rebuilt zone. Your insurance isn't going to cover your future loss of resale or trade in.
