When going in for service, do you just go to the factory tune or actually unlock the ktuner from the ecu? I Unlocked mine last time i went in, and i think it reset my m.m. Now at 10K mi and service "A" just popped up again. About what mileage is the "B" service supposed to come up?

It seems like when everyone says "flash back to stock" they must not be unlocking it because that restarts the m.m. in my experience. Can anyone comment on if they unlocked before service or not?

I unlocked mine when I knew that they were gonna do the oil dilution recall. Hooked it back up and MM was where it was supposed to be. I think it's only the first time you use ktuner that MM resets.

I suppose I could be wrong, but I thought unlocking simply unlocked the Ktuner from your ECU. It doesn't actually flash anything. So, there's no way that unlocking would reset the MM. Flashing back to stock could reset the MM I guess, but I've never experienced this.

I just flashed yesterday, and my MM didn't reset. Was at 90% before and was after also.

Don't you have to flash back to stock before you can unlock the KTuner?

Here's an update:

Flashed back to stock the other day and reflashed my. Tunes on it. Alls well, oil percentage is counting down again, and I will not worry about it anymore.

Thanks everyone and thanks @KTuner for all the help.
So you just had to flash stock and then flash backed to your actual tune? I’m having the problem of not counting down

This probably doesn’t contribute to the ongoing discussion, but I flashed my first tune (stage 0) this morning and my oil life increased from 30% to 50%.

Seems as though there is a theory that this only happens after the first flash. I may try to flash to stock and then flash again and see what happens

going off of what bongo said. I was at 70% when I initially flashed with ktuner, it then jumped up to 90% after the first flash. I’ve driven around 5k miles or so since and have gone down to 50%. I just flashed back to factory to get my car serviced today and it jumped back up to 60% lol. Doesn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason to this
