Identical noise for me. It’s much worse in the cold temps. I didn’t notice it during the summer. Never heard this 6 miles to 19,000 miles then this winter it’s been going nonstop on those side way rocking bumps.

Once someone determines what part it is I’d gladly replace it all to after market :p lol

And you’ve had Honda check stuff on your side? What have they told you. What fixes have they tried? It’s harder to hear it in summer because we have windows down. I can’t ignore this noise though. Drives me nuts.

Nope. Cancelled my appointment because on the day of it warmed up... the noise nearly goes away except on large bumps. That means I can’t always replicate it and when I told a service rep that they said they would have to charge me for a normal inspection if it’s not under warranty...

Honda Service has been LAUGHABLE compared to Lotus and Nissan. I can’t believe people stand by their service departments... I’ve never experienced more ignorant or plain lying than I have from Honda Service desk sitters.

Had a dude tell me it’s impossible to change the rear brakes without bringing it to Honda. I laughed at his face.

You need to call corporate and open a case on it or Honda is going to keep calling this normal. I have a case open on it but techline apparently says they haven’t heard of the issue. You and I appear to have the exact same problem. Something is def wrong or loose and we need to figure out how to fix it. I’ll be showing your video to the Honda field rep Friday. If you can help pinpoint the location the noise is coming from, I will try and do same thing. I need to get a GoPro down underneath there and record somehow.

It’s hard to do that now it’s warming up. I can only produce the sound on very hard bumps or once in awhile on a entrance from a street to driveway etc.

I wonder if it’s a brake pad jiggling around... I’m going to be tearing down the brakes front and rear soon anyways. Changing out pads and rotors so I’ll see if there is any wiggle going on there.

I had a lose rear carbotech pad on the Exige once and it rattled like a mofo till I used some brake grease (glue) on it.

At the dealer now. Thankfully this dealership is actively trying hard to find the sound! Plus the service tech I am working with has a Type R and is active on the forum ;) literally up on his screen ha!

Anyone else driving through this horrendous midwest freeze? The car is running fine but it sounds like it's going to fall apart in these temps! Front suspension rattles and jiggles (sound wise) all over the place. I've never heard this much sound coming from up front on bumps in the past (when temps are higher) and I've spoke with another local owner who says they do not hear that at all.
With the numerous complaints pertaining to this same condition I would say that the contribution to the "rattling" is that the vehicle is on larger diameter tires that have low profile sidewalls The less sidewall cushioning, the firmer the ride - especially in cold weather with sport tires. @darkborne

Its possible, but I would expect the noise to be coming from both sides if it was an issue strictly related to tires. Also, if it were a tire concern with the sheer number of people running different set ups, I would expect to have been able to find at least one case or report on AHMs techline forum.

Conduct a short drive, observe the noise/vibration first hand.
Place a set of wheels with winter tires - observe the noise/vibration first hand and discern the difference.
You could be the very first Honda Tech to log this event on the AHMs techline forum your very self. Win / Win

I had that discussion already, the fun part is having ready access to a set of OE spec tires already mounted that I can flip flop on. Unfortunately I'm running stock rims with 245/35, so that rules me out for stock sizing. We did already jump on the forum and get a discussion started, now its really a matter of other people finding the issue and getting the discussion moving forward.

Hope they find it. If it helps your situation, mine happens in a semi rough parking lot over uneven small bumps. Don’t even have to be going fast. Low speed, neutral and coasting. Get the sound just like you and I have in our videos. Keep us updated. Hopefully he finds the source and I can tell my dealer the same info.
