To confirm, you placed the nylon lock nut on top of the factory boot retainer lock nut? This would provide spacing between the bottom of the knob and the top of where the boot collar sits when clipped in? Got a pic?The OEM boot collar can still be used beneath the new shifter, but it needs some space in order for the boot to securely lock on. I chose a metal locking nut (the type with a nylon insert) so everything would stay tight down there. That's the only mod needed.
It sure ain't. The 9th gen doesn't exactly get the most praise. So my choice is "ancient" and a "PIA"
Geez thanks Guys
I owned a 2012 Si Sedan for 5 years - and believe me this is NO 9th Gen Civic
Superklasse sends a brass M10-1.5 to M12-1.5 adapter since their shifter has M12 thread and our civics have a M10 on the lever. But if you snug up this adapter all the way down against our factory retainer nut then you won’t be able to clip the me boot collar when the knob is fully tightened. The knob will essentially push it off when you tighten it.To confirm, you placed the nylon lock nut on top of the factory boot retainer lock nut? The Superklasse knob is very well made, I just wish it was a tad bit smaller, personal problems I guess with tiny hands I am able to get it on without any modifications on the Type R.Superklasse sends a brass M10-1.5 to M12-1.5 adapter since their shifter has M12 thread and our civics have a M10 on the lever. So i placed a M10 nut with a nylon insert between the boot retainer nut and the brass adapter. Then left enough space for the boot collar to clip in then tightened the two. May need to finesse it a bit so that the knob has the proper orientation when fully tightened. I hope this helps.
I would definitely rock that one. I wish it was just round, not that collar thing. But where did you find this?650 grams. Still need to make other shifting upgrades but so far I like the weight and feel. Car is cosmic blue so carried the blue theme inside.

Shift solutions co. They have round ones as well.I would definitely rock that one. I wish it was just round, not that collar thing. But where did you find this?
Wow that's a blatant knock off lol.$15 Taiwanese foundry Skunk2-type billet shifter bought from Ebay. 400-something grams. A little smaller than I was expecting but the finish is real nice. Only drawback is that graphic down the front.
I saw this on their website before but I don't know how are the reviews. Thanks for the info..650 grams. Still need to make other shifting upgrades but so far I like the weight and feel. Car is cosmic blue so carried the blue theme inside.
Well, it's very possibly the exact same item just with a different graphic. I believe the Skunk2 is sourced from Taiwan also.Wow that's a blatant knock off lol.
