Apple Honda in York, PA is selling at MSRP. Paperwork for mine is in motion. They have a CW in transit with the same deal.
Such a relief after dealing with California dealerships and the five to ten thousand dollar markups. I much prefer to pay for shipping.

I did a quick quote online, and for enclosed, fully insured, door to door, it is about $1320.

Very cool and congrats. I think this is the way to go at this point to avoid the ADMs. Let us know how it all goes as more of us SoCal buyers are probably on the fence about pulling the trigger on out of state deals. I remember thinking the ADMs would only last 6 months like a Focus RS, Golf R, M2. I was wrong there!

I agree with Wheel_Guy. That seems to be the best way to go to avoid ADM in SoCal. To hell with SoCal dealers charging ADM. Honda will continue to allocate CTR's across the country and the allotments here can sit in dealer lots and rot for all we care. I'd rather pay $1k to $2k for transport than to pay ADM out of principle.

I've waited a long time to make this post and am happy to say I finally found a red CTR at MSRP (yes, MSRP as in $35,700 + destination fee $699 + tax, tag and title). Southeastern Honda in Palm Bay Florida (just south of I-4 and I-95 junction) is where I had the pleasure of doing business. I had to drive 3 hours south from my home in Jacksonville despite a 2019 red CTR in the showroom at my local Honda dealer (Honda of the Avenues), who wouldn't budge from $5k ADM
Southeastern Honda also offered me MORE than what CarMax offered me for trade in (which was a virtually flawless 2015 4 door red Civic Si with 59k miles, completely OEM). Additionally, they also offered me $500 off of destination fee if I had a trade in (this was their initial offer before I even mentioned having a trade in).
I am overwhelmingly pleased with my experience at Southeastern Honda. They currently have a 2019 red and CW CTR in the showroom, though I heard that the dealership was firm on an ADM for the CW. Contact Donna or Nick from their sales team, they were very friendly and made the buying experience almost too easy to be true. I told them I would post about my experience, so feel free to mention Justin recommended them.
Here's a video of my car coming off the showroom floor, kind of surreal that the day has come!!

It’s cool that you video your car being back out of the show room. I wondered if any one bought their type r and it was not on display in a show room.
