For those of you who installed the +6 PSI flash and drive the 6 speed MT, how long have you guys driven in it before you experience clutch slippage? And those of you who who haven’t experience slippage, how long and how many miles have you driven on it so far? Just doing a quick survey as I am contemplating getting one. I do not want to spend extra on a new clutch plus an install. Thanks!

I ran the +9 for about a year and half and was totally fine put just over 30,000kms on it. Minor clutch slippage occasionally but nothing that I worried about. If completely stock and just running the flash there is no reason to get a new clutch. Just don’t expect it to last 100,000kms.

15k miles been using at minimum +6 since 1200 miles .... a +9 tune... a ethanol mix tune....not a single issue.

I've had my car for almost a year and 10,000 miles. I've had the Hondata +9 tune since 1,000 miles. I don't ever experience clutch slip. I don't beat on my car though. I don't do clutch drops or burn outs. I also don't take my car to redline much...There's really not much of a reason to, since the stock turbo runs out of steam in the upper rev range. If you have fun with your car without beating on it you will be fine in my humble opinion. The simple fact is you'll blow out your clutch with the stock power numbers if you abuse it.

I've had my FP running base +6 tune for around 8 months and have never had any slippage. There has been a number of times that I put my car through the ringer and the clutch is perfectly fine. You will not have any slippage issues running the +6, but more likely with the +9. Seems that the SI models do better with the +9 than the other turbo models. However, I also agree with jrshultz's comment if you decide to bump it to +9.

I have the hondata +9 tune on. I have a mishimoto intake and an RV6 downpipe and I experienced clutch slipping with 12k miles on my car. I do enjoy spirited driving, but when not WOT in 4th and 5th I dont get any slip. Best of luck!

I'm currently running the +6psi with a Carb Flashpro. CVT feels a bit more jerky at times after the tune and when at WOT once in a while smells like oil is burning. Never had that smell before the tune and was wondering if it was normal?
