Jules... multiple little tidbits in your posts here and in the other thread indicate BRD ( beyond reasonable doubt) that you have close to zero technical background, certainly none in automotive areas. There is nothing wrong with asking questions, that’s what forums are for, but there is a lot wrong with people being assertive and pontificating on issues they have no idea about, as you do. In fact, it’s a form of cheating. My car is is housed in a garage when home. I don’t experience a cold car in the morning, even on the coldest winter days.
I just pulled this quote from auto parts warehouse online regarding climate control units “One major symptom that your unit is failing is when it automatically shuts down and then restarts even without you controlling it. If you don't have an idea about the cause of your unit's problem, then it's best that you replace it immediately. A faulty climate control unit can greatly compromise your vehicle's performance if you don't fix it right away”
I don’t understand the relation between a component that regulate temps/air movement in the cabin, and fuel/moisture in engine oil? I would expect broke, defective or worn seals if oil is compromised with fuel/moisture? What does the CCU have to do with performance?
The warehouse text you cite above is total BS, as it’s main goal is boosting sales. Internet is great as a source of supporting information, but only if you know anything at all on the topic. If you flash random internet quotes in front of people who know for a fact that you don’t know what you are talking about, you only make yourself look ridiculous.
Good to know your car is housed in a warm garage. That’s great for testing the AC operation.
