Possible issue with proximity sensor 'chirp'?

I've recently noticed that when I walk away from my vehicle, the proximity sensor 'chirp' only sounds from the rear. I could swear that the 'chirp' always sounded from both the front and rear of my car. It's driving me nuts, less so the issue itself than, "Am I remembering wrong?" Would anyone be willing to check and confirm there is an issue, or am I delusional?

The beeping module/speaker is under the rear bumper. It only comes from the rear.
