I have a gray Homelink module. It is prewired to install in the Civic (literally will take less than 5 minutes once you remove the roof console to wire it up). Wiring instructions are down below are for the CTR; with notations for those with moonroofs. No splicing necessary. $90 shipped in the US via PayPal gift (or add 3% for goods payment). Please inquire for shipping to outside of the US.

For those with moonroofs, instead you will connect the blue and gray wires to the moonroof's plug.

You will have a maplight plug on the left, and moonroof plug on the right. Your moonroof plug on the right will have more wires. You need to wedge the blue and gray wires from the homelink to the matching color wires on the moonroof plug. Tape all wires together.

I’m interested, does the existing slot pop out of that unit or would I need to buy the additional unit for the homelink to fit in?

You are correct. This replaces that piece to pop out

Do you have any that match the FK8 CTR dark grey or black interior?
