You need to call and ask to talk to the title clerk. Dealers don't have a title they have a mso which is sent from Honda to the dealers. they then send it to the state(with loan paperwork) to have the title work done. they have up until the temp tag expires for you to get your plate. if it hasn't been done you can go and ask for another temp tag or a dealer plate to keep you legal until your plates arrive

Tried To get another Temp Tag. DMV says that the dealership has not submitted anything. No title, no paperwork. The dealer tells me all the time that they don't have the Title and are waiting for Honda to send it

I poked around a bit at NC's Title/licensing laws (I had a similar issue to you when I was in NC, but it resolved before my temp tags expired). If you haven't contacted the DMV Inspector for the county you purchased the vehicle in, then I would advise doing so. Dealers in NC have 10 days to submit the application for title and registration, and if they do not they can be fined by the county and possibly have their dealer license revoked. That's kinda a big deal.

Here's what I found for NC: https://www.ncdot.gov/dmv/programs/fraud-theft/Documents/license-theft-district-map.pdf

The PH# for the Inspector office for District 5 (Winston-Salem) is listed there. Hopefully that's still accurate...

Good luck!

E: Here's the page describing what the Inspector does - it's the License & Theft Bureau department for NCDoT. https://www.ncdot.gov/dmv/programs/fraud-theft/Pages/default.aspx

Thank you for the post. I contacted the Inspectors office this morning while I was working, and they told me to come down tomorrow morning with all my paper work from the dealer and file a complaint with the inspector. Appreciate it bro!

Bah, I just saw where you mentioned you called them, sorry!. Such a pain, but that should get movement on your title for sure.
