I'm still contemplating on mine for full front PPF. Been watching Obsessed Garage videos for his GT3RS. Seems like he's kinda regretting his, but his OCD is probably different than mine lol
If you have the $, it doesn't hurt to have the hood and fenders covered completely covered but make sure they completely cover it. Any seams will look like garbage.

I had my rocker panels PPF'd as well and I HATED the seam. It would also collect grime right at the edge. I had it removed. I'll take the risk.

I don't have a picture on hand but I scratched up the piano black plastic wing pretty bad when my buddy and I tried to jack up the car in the garage with the hatch open. Stupid idea...
Yes, the high lift of the hatch plus our 1 foot high Wing, I have less than 2inches clearance from the tip of the wing and the garage door ...

Thanks for the venue to vent on this.
I've been driving a beater car for about 10 years, and I now own a beautiful purchased new 2018 EX-T.

I'm not obsessive, but I've been trying to keep my car nice. Part of that is parking way in the back of parking lots, and finding end parking spots to lean away from the car parking next to me.

This strategy has been working, and I've been able to avoid all door dings so far.

That being said, sometimes I don't have a choice on parking spots, and I just have hope people are considerate regarding door dings.

I walked out to my car after work two weeks ago, and I found a huge door ding above my passenger rear wheel well. It looks terrible, and it even interupts the body line curves above that wheel. Damn that sucks. I was really pissed off about it, but I'm starting to not think about it.

I have plans to bring it into a shop in the spring to see if they can do dentless repair, and some paint touchup.

Thanks for listening to my whining. Take care, JP

Feel your pain. Several years ago my wife drove my car and parked it waaaay out in a parking lot. Came out and some dimwit had let their grocery cart roll down the hill into my car door. Dent the size of a golf ball!! So ticked. Actually sold the car with the dent to remind me it was just a car.

I’m still really picky though. So far nothing major on either Civic.

Just finished touching up left passenger rear hatch (by the type R emblem) doors with Honda touch up paint. Silly enough, I'm getting PPF done next month for full frontal + skirt only, so IDK what this is telling me haha.

P.S.: I have globs of filled in paint now (shape like domes), hoping to take a few days to let them dry and perhaps sand them a bit so they are smoother/flatter. I asked the shop that's doing my PPF (since they gonna need to detail my car anyway) if he could polish these with an orbital polisher and he told me probably not as the paint may burn. Is this true? Even with the smoothest of compound and slowest of speed?

This product called Blob Eliminator works great to smooth out touch up paint spots, I've used it for years: http://www.langka.com/index.php/featured-products/blob-eliminator

2500k is 2500000 miles. car looks pretty good for having gone around the earth 100 times.

Sorry to hear...

I also have 2500 miles and there are a lot of pock marks in the A pillars for some reason. If this is due to the way the aerodynamics work i would recommend getting film installed on those. Also i got a big rock that somehow punched through the clear bra @_@ near the bottom of the bumper.
unless they meant 2500k as in kilometers, if they Canadian or European ;)

Looks good from here. I'll be getting some Ralley Red touchup paint from my local dealership next time I'm in town and see if I can duplicate your work.

I guess we're rolling the dice every time we drive, or in my case, every time my wife comes home.
You know the side skirt come painted in factory color, all you do is buy the part with the correct paint code. There is no need to respray. just remove and reinstalled. That way your car is like original if you are so OCD. if not just touch it up

I'm not sure how a hit and run works, but if it's a known party who hit you, you wouldn't be liable and you wouldn't be responsible for a deductible. The damage would go through their insurance. No cameras on the lot?
