I'm really excited haha got a p2r downpipe on the way B)
I posted a video where the race version, with I believe is a stock dp, did 107 db. That is loud as $hit.

Now granted I take it from people here that think this is an exhaust that is actually not loud when cruising. But get on it, and ya - loud.

Cannot even imagine what it would sound like with a straight dp.

For the record I’m planning on purchasing one today/tomorrow. :)

hey man how much louder do you think the Milltek is compared to stock. Ive been doing so much research and see that people are very fond of Milltek for the fk8. I was thinking of getting the Invidia 400 because its cheaper but I want something loud. Ive always liked when I can hear any random car coming from like 2-3 blocks away.
As most mentioned. Yes it is louder than stock. It can get really loud when you want it to. You just have to be on it

I currently have the Remus along with the front pipe. No drone, but then again, it's purely subjective. I was initially concerned about the valve breaking over time but after looking at the unit and consulting with Mike @ Remus the part is relativity cheap and easy to replace, if and when it breaks. Wiring is super easy, splice into your taillight and ground the negative. For me I had an amp in my trunk all I had to do was tap into the power and ground of the amp. Easiest thing ever. Love how the the valve controller is a modular unit. The entire unit blots right up.

Sound is great, delivery time took about a week, I installed it with my brother for free. I would imagine you would probably pay somone 50-100$ for install if you dont do it yourself. By yourself I mean you and a friend. I think you need one other person to help fitment and taking off stock exhaust

I would say that for the customer looking to: quiet down a catless downpipe, eliminate rasp and drone and quiet cold starts Milltek Full Res is the way to go. It gives a nice growl tone under 3,500 rpms and gets louder after that when boost is built until redline. Its pricey I guess thats why I have not seen anyone else with the same combo I have. I got a 25% discount when it came out, and offered to everyone on the forums.

Where are you guys buying from? I come from the domestic world of cars and am not really familiar with aftermarket distributors for imports.

I'm looking for a single or dual resonator milltek setup but the prices seem outrageous and it seems like many here have paid less

Echoing what Fk8tjt said. Delivery time is less than a week. Install should be under $150. Some shops will quote $400 once they hear "valved" but rest assure you can install it yourself. It's really a straight fwd unbolt and bolton process but remember to lube the bolts before wrenching it off.

Sounds great, not too loud, but that will all change once my PRL catted down pipe goes in. Looking to do a before and after video under load. If you're on the fence for a valved exhaust just go for it b/c I don't believe there is a better (sound and features) electronically controlled valved option than what Remus offers. Hope this helps.

Awesome thanks!!

I'm a California resident and the reason I'm looking is:

1. Our emissions standards are insane!
2. They just passed a law where the cops can hold a decibel reader to your exhaust on start up, at idle, and revd to I think 4000; if it exceeds there limits......automatic 1000$ ticket :/

If you're interested in buying the Remus (which you should, but i'm a bit biased) - hit up Mike @REMUS USA - great pricing, great customer service, and great delivery time.

@dennyschulz Thanks for the interest and thank you to @idragmazda and @TSAC-R for your feedback. Very much appreciated. We are also located in California and we sell quite a few here. One of the reasons it is so popular here is you can control the volume with the push of a button and at idle the system is not overly aggressive at all. Rather tame and not very noticeable. This is on a stock car so the sound will vary with additional mods, especially a catless DP or high flow cats.

Our cat back system from the front pipe back is actually homologated for the Euro market which in layman's terms means it meets the EU transport authorities strict DB and emissions standards. This is with the valve closed. Once the valve is opened then it no longer meets those standards but with the valves closed there would be no issues with DB levels.

As far as emissions go, our system does not alter any of the emissions related parts. There are no primary or secondary cats removed which would make it illegal in California and the rest of the US as well which most people do not realize. This is actually a Federal law and not just a California law.

The exhaust law you refer to is actually not a new law and has been on the books since 2003. The law in California has always been you cannot exceed 95DB. This is still the same and has not changed. When California Assembly Bill (A.B. 1824) went into effect in January 2019 it did not change the law but it amended how excess noise violations are handled by law enforcement. Basically gave the police more discretion and they can now automatically fine you where as before it was a Fix It ticket. That is what changed.

The $1000 fine is also incorrect and according to Judicial Council of California’s Uniform Bail and Penalty Schedules for 2019, the suggested base fine/fee for a first conviction is $25 with a total fee of $193. The video with the $1000 fine had additional fines and tickets which is why total was $1000. People assume the fine is $1000 based off of that video. If you are given a ticket you still have the option of seeking a certificate of compliance from the California Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) demonstrating that their exhaust emits no more than 95-decibels. The test does cost $108.

https://bar.ca.gov/Consumer/Referee_Program/Vehicle_Exhaust_Noise_Level_Certification.html

There is a lot of misinformation going on regarding the law and it is a shame because it stirred up a lot of unnecessary hysteria. 95DB is pretty loud man. A jackhammer is 100 DB's or so to give you an idea how loud it actually is. I think the DB level at Laguna Seca is 92DB and that is a RACE TRACK!!! When they reduce the DB levels is when we should really start to worry. It has already happened in Europe and will only be a matter of time until it does here so enjoy while you can.

Hope this little book I wrote helped explain it a bit better and cleared up some things. We have been offering valved exhausts systems for quite a few years now due to the EU DB levels so this is something we have been on top of for many years as we have seen it happen in Europe and now it is slowly creeping over here. We have plenty on stock so please feel free to reach out to any of our dealers for pricing. Talk to you soon.

Yes this thing is fucking nuts with catless dp lol the crackles n pops are awesome
Recently switched back to catless and Race Milltek too...oh boy I love it when it screams and pops haha. So good so good!!

I adjusted my pipes so they don’t rub with the underframe so the drone honestly isn’t bad. Very manageable for dailying especially with music, windows cracked a little, and following the speed limit lol
