The breadboard jump wire came in. I did the following install based partly by elvisfan48640.

Gray & Black in pin 1 and pin 2 for GROUND

Orange in pin 4 for illumination +12V
Red in pin 5 for constant +12V

This weekend I will try to find which harness connector to tap into for the 4 jumper wires.

So I am waiting for this weekend to hardwire my Homelink. Too darn hot and humid in Florida. I was board and decided to see if my wiringing with breadboard jump cables will work. So I attached it to a 9V battery and it was on. Then I decided to program the Homelink to my garage and it works:D:headbang:

Oh cuz my civic is light grey color, so if there's a matching color I'll def get one.
It's a salvage part off of ebay, so if you can find one to match then you're good to go. When I was searching, I only saw the dark grey but that's okay with me because my black seats has that carbon fiber strip look and the dark gray would coordinate with the lighter gray on the console. I will take picture when done. I was lucky and offered $40 and the seller sold it me for $40. I have seen the console from $50 to $125 on ebay.

If you want a brand new homelink part only from Honda, it sell for about $140 to $170. For me, $100 is not worth matching the interior. Here is a new one http://hondapartsnetwork.com/part/8872566/Honda-Part-36650-TA0-A11ZC-Homelink-NH220L

here is one for $51ish http://www.ebay.com/itm/401106783457?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT

If you go to my DIY post (the link has already been posted above), you'll find the color code you need to look for on eBay that matches our Civics. If it is not in the auction listing you can simply contact the seller and ask.

Here is a link to one that appears to be the correct color for under $50, but again, I recommend you verify the color code with the seller. Good luck!

Kudos for all the info on this thread. Helped me get a Gentex 177 dimming/compass mirror installed, without issue.

As a bonus, it's a bit larger than the OEM mirror.

Wow $260 for homelink module no thanks! I'll rather get a Gentex mirror for 200, or If I'm feeling fancy, the frame less one for $250 unless I can't unmount the mirrior since mine has the sensing pkg. Then sell my auto dimming one for (150-200?? Never looked at prices for that)

Where did you get always on power from?
I just installed a Gentex mirror with Home link, auto dimming, and compass in my 2018 Civic Sport Hatchback. Here's where I connected the power. In the upper right corner of the picture, the yellow wire is battery (12v always on), and the red wire is switched. My Gentex mirror wiring harness came with in-line fuses (5A), so I could connect directly to the power. I used standard blade terminals, but had to grind down the red one a bit to fit the slot.

Looks good.
I have the 2018 Sport HB.
What model mirror did you use?
Ebay? I see one for up to 2015 Civic. I would think it will still work.

Is this the same one that's in the 2019s? I might get this and have the dealer install if it fits with honda sensing

Idk. I bought it from a Honda dealer, but installed it myself. They do offer installation for a price. ☺
