I have all the same issues. Spot on with the description.
I have similar issues too... Points 3 and 4, anyway.

I'm in Australia and have the top of the line VTI-LX. I've had it for only 9 days.

I took it back in on day 6 to get it "serviced" as I had rattling in my back left door and the front speaker. I also felt there was something wrong with the engine. I'm sure it didn't sound like a sewing machine when I bought it. Does anyone else have that sound when accelerating? It also reminds me of the sound of a van. A buzzing/sewing machine sound? I've been told that it's normal; that's it's the fuel injectors or something. I have the 1.5 Turbo.

What with the rattling, and the engine acceleration noise, and now the loss of power at low RPM, I'm really really concerned. I mean, I'm under warranty, so that's good, but I'm starting to think I bought a lemon. And worse I'm starting to think I should have gone for the i30.

:-(

I'm taking it back in on Thursday morning so they can check the rattling from the back door again, and this time the mechanic is coming for a drive with me.

This is my first post, so please be gentle. :)

I have the same exact buzzing noise on acceleration that goes away when you take your foot off the throttle, not associated with AC being on or off.

Anyone get an answer/solution to this?

Same exact issue here on the 1.5T 2018 Si, so it's definitely not an issue or part specific to the Type R. Still can't figure it out, though...

Evening, SI family. While driving today, I noticed a couple of strange noises related to acceleration. The first is a rather noticeable high pitched whistling that occurs in the lower parts of the rev range. I'd never noticed this before - does everyone else have this? Is this some sort of normal turbo noise?

The second is a gentle hissing, buzzing sound that also occurs during acceleration. If I let up off the throttle, it goes away immediately. Is this normal sound of the stock intake?

I didn't notice either of these sounds when test driving other 2017 SI's. Does anyone else have these?
I have the same problem. I believe its engine noise feedback sound coming from the speaker, which means that there is a bad grounding somewhere.

That whistling noise is a good thing.
That is the sound of your turbo spooling up it's noticeable
between 1,800 and 3,000 rpm and usually in 1st or 2nd gear.
Its not the turbo. I hear it in all gears. It sounds like bad feedback due to grounding.

Going to try muting the radio today, I suppose it could be coming from the center speaker, but it sure doesn't seem like it. I have noticed that it will not do it in neutral, but will do it at the slightest tip-in of the throttle in any gear, and just gets louder with load.

Radio definitely did not have any impact on the noise, so if it is feedback through dash speaker or something similar, mute/power have no effect.

the best way to describe it would be the old 90s PC when they make the loud loading noise.
this describes it well.. don't hear it with AC off. dealer didn't hear it when i brought it up on my first oil change.. the sound drives me nuts.. it happens when i'm off the accelerator too.

Did anyone make any progress on this? I bought a 2019 Type R two weeks ago, have ~250 miles on the car, and recently noticed the electronic buzzing sound coming from what sounds like the engine compartment. It's not a rattle, whir, whistle or hiss. It literally sounds like a set of distant hair clippers. It only happens while on the throttle, which makes if feel like it's something in the fuel or air delivery systems. It goes away as soon as I life the throttle. It definitely has nothing to do with the HVAC, as I tested all conditions and settings and it made no difference. It also doesn't seem to be the center speaker reacting to a short somewhere as changing the volume and turning the audio system off or to alternate sources doesn't affect it at all. It may have been there since I pulled off the lot with 3 miles on the car because I usually listen to the radio, but it definitely has my attention now and I can't stop obsessing about it.

I haven't seen any. I'm having the same issue and brought it into the dealer. They "couldn't hear it" and identified it as the turbo, which I am pretty darn sure it's not.

....It's honestly ridiculous because it is very annoying with no music on. I came from a car that turned into a rattle-box, but this noise still bothers me.

How Honda let the car onto the market with this issue - I have no clue.

Eh... vehicles have a lot of moving parts and systems. So do houses. There will never be a perfect one of either. There will always be minor issues with things that are so complex with such small margins for error. I don't frown upon Honda for it, I would just like to know what it is. I don't even care if it never goes away. I just want the peace of in minding knowing it isn't my transmission falling apart.

Sorry to post in a Civics forum I drive a 2018 Accord ex 1.5T, but I am having the same buzzing noise whenever I press the gas pedal. When I release it it goes "buzzzz buz buz" I know that sounds overly specific but it was described that way by the poster "Supe" on this thread. It is definitely electronic sounding and sounds like it's coming for inside the center of the dash but could be engine compartment. When the car is in motion if I press the gas even the slightest the buzzing starts, when I release the gas it goes away. At any speed. I haven't popped it in N while driving and pressed gas so I don't know if it's only when in D but it's not there in park. It's annoying for only 300mi. Any update on the Civics out there. I imagine they are similar in many ways. This noise sounds to be. Thanks.

Sounds like exactly what I'm experiencing in my CTR.
