I hate to do this but I just can't read through the endless supply of Wheel/Tires threads. There are just so damn many.
Can someone help me find a a good thread to read for my current quest, or give me some brand opinions?

I am looking for some new wheels. I plan to get Michelin Pilot Sport 4s.
I want a good replacement wheel that favors performance. I am not looking to go cheap. I want a reputable brand that has aggressive looks but not flashy. (I dont want bright colors like gold or brass)
What is a good size that is helpful for performance. I dont want any rubbing or crazy amounts of camber. I dont mind if the tires poke out a little further than stock but nothing outrageous.
I should add that I am running stock suspension and have no plans to change it.

I understand that this is a loaded/subjective question.
I am not by any means a wheel expert. I just know that with the mods I have on my SI and what I plan to do in the future requires me to get a good set of summer tires. Right now I have the shitty stock all seasons. I figure I might as well get some new set of wheels to go with my new tires. Maybe I will get some weight savings or better handling with a wider tire? IDK! I know my question has probably been answered on the endless supply of threads for this but there is just too much mess out there to comb out the good stuff.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Never mind, found your post. Following this, too, as I am in the same boat.

I don't have pictures of the setup yet, as they will be my summers, but take a look at Titan 7.
My stock wheels were stolen last August and I have the T-S5 to go on this spring.
They are, on paper a good fit, at 18x8.5 +44. More importantly they are some nicely made wheels.
The most any one took was 4 wheel weights, and one took none to balance out. Michelin AS3+ tires mounted on them.
Only two non-flashy colors available though.

If going with the PS4s I’d stay stock width. No reason to go wider as these tires are already overkill on the Si. I just can’t imagine my Si handling any better with a wider tire, and that just may upset the chassis. I have them, and the grip is monstrous

You think so? I was thinking of going a little wider. Are you running stock torque? I am trying to get my tires set up to handle W1 turbo with Flex Fuel. All I need is a clutch, inter cooler, and some tires to handle the heat. I am going to be pushing this car pretty hard in the next few years.

Yes I am stock. It’s just that these tires are such extreme street performers which probably had heavier and much faster cars in mind when they were developed, compaired to our civics, even with a tune. But I have a feeling you also want that wider stance and look with you car, and I absolutely get that. I was thinking of doing that too.
But I have zero reservations with my choice of 235. And they actually seem wider and taller from our stock garbage A/S that came with the Si...beefier looking. They are also 95Y rated compaired to our stock AS 91W. So they can handle a very big load. They’re such a sweet tire.
You’ll find out just how supreme they are once you get them, no matter what size you go. Good luck

You have my mouth watering.... All I do is spin if I lay it down. I have the MAPerformance exhaust so I have a lot of bark but no bite. I have to ease into the boost for my tires to put the power to the ground. I may consider keeping stock wheels if I cant make a decision by the time I am ready for the PS4s. I honestly like the look of the si wheel but I wouldn't mind a little more width and some weight savings. Thanks you for your words.

Might I also add, they are real good lookers with that cool velvet sidewall Michelin does so well. They added extra pretty points to my Si for sure! Also consider the Pilot Sport Cup 2, depending how much rain you see. Even better dry performance at the cost of wet grip. But I did hear the PS4s uses Sport Cup 2 compound on the outer 40% of tread.
The PS4s are equally good in the rain as in the dry, from my experience
