I'll have the v1.2 so I guess that's the "in-ecu" option? Also I'll be running out of gas tommorow night and was thinking may as well fill up 91 octane before Thursday. Is it safe to drive on 91 before the tune?
no, you'll want the "Flash drivers" specifically the one thats the v1.2/v2 flash software :) . and yeah you can drive on 91 no issues.

Oh, the Ktuner video only had 2 option so I assumed one is flash based and the other is in-ecu. Thanks!

The videos were probably made when there was only the chipped ECU and the v1 flash. But glad to help you out

Is there any easy way to find the ECU number? It's near impossible to look into that 1 inch gap and I think the number is engraved in black and not on a white sticker. At least I don't see a sticker.

you could take those top two connections off and pull the ecu out to look. Itll be on the side closest to the intake. I had to shine a flash light down there

I'll have to borrow my friends Iphone. My phone just isn't doing the job, although it looks like a 5BA-C57 to me

Honestly, you don't even need to know your ECU number to lock it. When you attempt to lock the KTuner to your ECU, it will let you know if it's compatible. If so, it will download and save the factory tune. At that point, you can find your ECU information stored in the software under the "KTuner Information" tab. I never actually physically looked up my ECU number under the hood and I'm tuning just fine. ;)

KTuner is actually very easy to use.

Is it based on where it was made or where it's destined to go? If the latter then it must be L57 which isn't supportef yet I guess

looks like we need to dust it off and get a clear look lol. Being a 17 I would think its supported but you never know. and the good thing is, even if not Ktuner would add it with an update. It could also be L67 ..........
