I'm pretty sure this is a case of Amazon being incorrect, but I went to purchase a pack of A01 oil filters, and apparently they don't fit the EX-T sedan.

Has anyone else used these filters on his/her EX-T? I'm fairly certain they fit, but now I have some slight doubt...

Well, I would NEVER trust Amazon's part finder as it can be pretty inaccurate. That being said, I'm sure that's the one.

The one thing to be aware of is that sellers will routinely swap out the lower quality A02 (Fram, cardboard based) filters. Believe me, I went through it many times with our 13 Pilot (exact same filter). You don't want the A02s as its pretty much as low quality as you can get. The ONLY way I'd order from Amazon is by checking who the seller is and MAKE SURE that the description says A01s explictly. Otherwise, they will claim that its a compatible swap (Honda agrees) and you'll be wasting money.

I've found that eBay is pretty much the only reliable source to get them because you can see details and pictures in the description. Even Amazon Warehouse sent me A02s.

I work for Honda in the parts division....A01 or A02 will fit all Honda

15400-PLM-A02 (That's the one we use) made by Honeywell ...
15400-PLM-A01 is made by Filtech

You can have a 92 Civic or a 2017 Pilot ...IT'S THE SAME FILTER!!

Hi, can you help me please :
I used Mobil 1 M1-110 oil filter + 0w-20 Mobil oil + Honda 94109-14000 gasket, but the 1st time i changed, It got code A1, and the 2nd time is B code. I followed the steps to clear code in manual book but it did not work. I did it very carefully. Last time, I brang my girl to dealer, but still got A1 code.
Sorry my bad English.

The only difference between A & B is whether or not the oil filter is to be changed. So when you replace the filter and clear the B code, the next one is going to be an A (oil change without filter). The 1 indicates time to rotate the tires as well.

None of the parts on Amazon show up as compatible for my hatch (or the '16/'17 sedan) even though they're actually compatible. I'm pretty sure it's just a bug, they just didn't set it up properly, or it's pulling the incorrect info from the spec field.

tl;dr it'll fit.

Just checking (nerd alert here) - S2000 uses a different filter correct?
Also, the Fram filter number used to be 3593 or 3693 as I recall - it was a bit fatter of a filter. Going back about 15 years on that number...

Can anyone confirm 100% that the A01 properly fits on the 10th Gen Civics? I have a '18 Hatchback and I want to order the A01 (as consensus states it's the better filter) but by some accounts the A01 doesn't match up as well as the A02 with our 10th Gen Civics.
Because the A01 is skinnier bodied versus A02, there is some exposed bare metal once it is threaded on and concern of this exposed metal with corrosion in time.

Any one have further findings of this either way??

Thanks!
