Hey guys! I currently have a 2017 LX Hatch. Its on hondata flashpro +9psi base map with no mods or anything other then a drop in k and n filter.

The clutch slips for sure but at the top of any gear other then 1st, the last 800RPM before the redline, im experiencing a loss of power. The car hesitates to get any higher in RPM. I was thinking maybe fuel cut-off. But i can't really tell. no loud clicking noises or anything. It didn't do this before but after driving a while with the +9psi basemap, and this just started maybe a week ish ago. i was going to try and reflash it back to stock and try replicating what i did.

Has anyone ever had any issues with this?

Also, my oil is full but my oil light just started flashing for a few seconds yesterday and hasnt come back on since...

Have you taken any datalogs? That is the key to diagnosing any sort of issue like this.

i almost forgot about datalogging! ill try it out. make a few runs. I did instal a significantly larger intake system to try and "add more air". the car doesnt feel maybe as fast as it was, but it does feel alot better at high rpm. maybe i got too large of an intake. ill try recording with both but my a/f went from around 9, to 10/11 with the larger intake

Intakes are more than jus some tubing and a filter. its most likely going to be hot air from the bay causing the ecu to pull timing and keep itself cool. This is my assumption based on the info given. I have a Diy intake on my 1.5t, its close to the ground but doesnt run cooler than the stock airbox(not hotter either). no gains except noise.

Confusing topic. In the first post you said "Its on hondata flashpro +9psi base map with no mods or anything other then a drop in k and n filter."

Then in your second post you said ”I did instal a significantly larger intake system to try and "add more air".

Depending on what intake you're actually using, the base map may not work properly with it.

1:
You are on a stock Turbo and it has a small Exducer. It does not have the capability to hold power in higher RPMs.
2:
Stock Intercooler - Suits stock boost levels, but will heat soak quickly. So, the ECU is pulling timing to save the motor.
3:
You could also be losing pressure (due to bulging) from the stock charge hoses - which are only 1ply. They also transfer the heat through the system; thus HEAT is your ememy.
4:
Since you mention that the clutch is slipping - you may also have scored the clutch and it isn’t clamping as well.
***Pulling hard from low speeds (regularly/repeatedly/frequently) can put a damper on the clutch wear quickly.
5:
Since you mention later that you have an intake installed; that particular brand may be having a negative effect with your fuel trims. Don’t know which make/model it is.

Super awesome reply! it was a much larger maf housing made for an 8th gen civic si. i took it off due to running lean. I ended up cleaning out the k and n filter in the factory intake system and the car does feel better. its on 44k miles with oe spark plugs too so i plan on doing that next. i heard about collapsing FMIC hosing as well as a few other things that can have a negative effect on running higher boost levels.

For now ill be in the market for a clutch and work my way from there

PRL has a great IC Hose Upgrade Kit ($100).
You are on the stock IC & Turbo set-up correct? That +9psi is just creating a higher heat signature for you; turn it down.
Know where you want to go with power goals so that you get the right Clutch package / Turbo Upgrade (even if for efficiency sake) / Intercooler, etc. Otherwise, you will find yourself having to correct the wrong path more than you would care to. Be methodical with your modifications and it will save both $ and Time.
