So to take off the axle bolt, I can’t just unblot it & take it off ? I have to play with the divot ? I’m taking my axle off on my ext later today.
It may sheer it or it may prevent it, but it take only a few seconds to straighten out the divot and you need to put it back bent down as it’s an extra security measure to help keep not on the axle.

When my boot started to leak I couldn't find a boot kit since Honda stopped selling or making them. I have to buy the entire axle. Cost me a ton.

That's why I included part numbers for the boot - it's actually a Mitsubishi boot not a Honda boot. Have put over 20k miles on this with no issues and no worries!

There is NO Honda boot kit out right now.... Car is still new even though the outer boots are the same for all Civic models, the inward axles are larger on the Si's than all others. TypeR uses different axles and they are longer so don't even consider them I would assume spline differences as well... I used the part number EMPI boot kit - Part Number: 86-2340-D bought from RockAuto"thanks to someone else on here can't remember username", and it's a Mitsubishi part number but works perfectly! It's the first picture and I ordered it from RockAuto for just under 10 bucks and I had a single time free shipping coupon that I used for it:)

If you go to Honda to get it replaced it will run you around 4-500 bucks as they will put new axles in...
Im trying to check on that part number on rockauto but not found any more

Highlight the number, right click and search on google - found like 40 of them all of them under 20 bucks - hell found on prime for 17.

Are they covering yours under warranty even with lowering springs installed?

Yep! I used to work at the dealer. I know the service writer so it was pushed through. If you tell them that it was caused by a major bump or pothole, they might cover it. It really depends on the person and the tone of the conversation. Never lead with "I have lowering springs." Let them discover that. *Edit, I thought you were replying to me. My bad!

Not a problem! I was just curious with everything going on here. I'm a writer myself but not for Honda, so I would say I know how to talk to those working in the service department.
