Ok maybe no one will know the answer but why has Honda proliferated multiple cabin filters that are the same size?? Needed to get cabin filters for my daughters HRV and wife’s CRV both take the same part number 80291-T5R-A01, bought one for my civic at the same time 80292-TBA-A11, they all came in yesterday, they are all exactly the same size! Construction of the A01 version is slightly different.
So being curious I looked up aftermarket filters quick look online showed the same STP part number used for all 3 cars CAF1873P
Checking amazon (that part number lists as “lumber-finer” air filter, and I find that part number, will fit all three cars. Anyone happen to know why Honda would add part numbers???
Looks like I can simplify purchases in the future especially as amazon showers availability as 6 packs for a price that works out to $12.50 ea
