What did you lose for power? Sounds like you are losing ASWC memory which should be stored off the same power wire your radio uses for memory. Save a FM channel and check if that is cleared too or your radio clock.
Nope, all my radio memory is still there just the steering wheel controls don't work at all, but then as soon as I cycle the key its all back to normal.

Contact Metra/Axxess? I had this on my previous car, but it would happen once very few weeks. Nothing for me to worry too much about, but if its every other time...that would get super annoying.

Has anyone gotten the ASWC-1 to work on a 2018 Sport Hatch? Crutchfield installer said it was not possible.

Yes. And I thought it was Crutchfield support that told me how. Try the support number on the documentation that came with it.

Did you upgrade the firmware? I had it working first with a Kenwood and now with a Pioneer. 2018 Sport Hatch.

Ok, just realized mine is a 2017. :)

Still, I don't believe for a second that it won't work .

to be clear, you do have to do the manual steps. It will not automatically find it.

The manual steps are a bit of a pain, but you can get it to work.

I actually had Crutchfield do the radio install. The installer was like "Nope. I even called Axxess and they said they've had problems with the Sport and ASWC-1." So now IDK what to do lol. Maybe wait a bit and see if Axxess works out the kinks.

I might fiddle with it myself but there's no way that I'd know more than their installers.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

It is page 19 to 21 in the attached instructions. Read it over a few times and become familiar with the process before you try it. I called 1-800-253-TECH when I did mine and they walked me right through manual programming, but later I had to do it for a friend and it worked just fine.

Thanks man! When I'm able to rip my radio out and fiddle with (when the weather gets nice) I'll give this guide a go.

When you have the radio out, if the harness is long enough, try to route it over toward the glove box. I did this and I can now get to my ASWC-1 through a small gap just to the left side when I open the glove box. I figured if I ever need to update or replace it, I can easily pull it through that space.

Ok here is the install for 2019 Civic LX Sedan (Made in Canada)

On harness u will be using

Red - Acc
Black- Ground

Blue/Pink- Can-Lo
Pink- Can-Hi

On Honda Harness wires will meter 2.5 volts. This will help determine what wires are what because my prewired plug didn’t work for the ASWC-1 unit. I had to wire in manually. The prewired plug also doesn’t bring blue/pink and pink, from 2016 - up harness. So I went by process of elimination/ cross reference 12v constant, switch, speakers ect. Then I was left with 4 wires. One of the 4 did meter 12v- 13v. Left that alone. Then there was 3.

I’ll post pictures of my research and findings. After I wired up it worked. If this helps you, you are very WELCOME!

BTW: I did update the unit with micro usb on computer with Axxess Updater. Simple google search gets y the app. Install, open app then close. After that plug device wait till computer dings to let u know it found the device. Wait a little bit more, then re open the app. On lower left side u will c stuff loading up, make sure u are online. If u don’t see anything loading up close app and re open.
