I'm looking at exhaust and the choice is milltek (non res) or remus.
you with remus Do you use the valve?

Is it difficult to draw power to the valve?

Is it correct they don’t drone?

What is the price for the exhaust where you are from? ( I’m from Denmark)

Another CTR owner complained of drone in his remus. He saw I had the milltek and asked to ride in mine.

I have milltek non resonated. He noticed right away that there is no drone with the milltek. He mentioned at around 2500 rpms the remus droned too much...which he was in that rpm a lot during normal day to day traffic around here. It was Jimmy (think it's JSmoothBui on here). He was also running a catless downpipe. He recently switched to milltek.

Just know with the milltek you'll have to cut part of the hanger that milltek uses...it's dumb, not sure why they made it that way, but it bangs up against the under part of the car if you don't:

Yeah I had the Remus and now with Milltek

From my experience...
A catless dp will make any exhaust pretty much obnoxious and have increased drone unless you’re going to slap on more resonators

For the Remus...
Don’t get me wrong it was a nice exhaust with minimal drone on 0% but it just didn’t sound good. High pitch rasp with the catless dp. With the valves closed you can just hear the blocked exhaust flow where the valve is closed. 100% open you’ll still have the basic drone problem, but then again drone is subjective to each person.

I just wanted one solid exhaust that would give me pops and crackles with minimal drone and Milltek does that. (If you install it correctly without having pipes touch the frame haha...personal experience). Milltek also has optional silencer (resonator pipes) that you can add on too. Race (1 resonator), Road+ (2 resonators), and Fully Resonated (3resonators)

02silversihb Do you also drive catless? Is it a catback?
It sounds like it’s the milltek I’m going for. I like the sound from both at video.

How often did you use the valve at the Remus?
Will the milltek crackle and pop without the cat less downpipe?

I'm still running the stock downpipe...so yes, it will still crackle/pop.

Milltek comes with a front pipe also, so yes, it is a full catback

Ive heard of valve issues with the remus after time. I Just installed the Milltek with black cerakote tips along with PRL DP and could not be happier. Zero drone and perfect balance. I went with the single resonated version, not the full race.

An milltek it’s gonna be.
What are you guys paying for a milltek race system? I’m just curious :)

Are you running that with a catless or catted dp?

I also had a valve issue with Remus...the actuator controlling the valve got stuck on 100% all the time, but I got the entire muffler piece replaced for free though. Not sure what happened maybe the cold, rain, idk

I also ran Milltek Race with my RV6 catless dp, but it was pretty loud haha...REALLY loud.

Switched to PRL catted dp with Milltek Race and things are good. Been contemplating that Road+ with catless dp, but I just got tired of the smells pretty much and wanted to keep the Race option for pops and crackles. To each their own with that though.

I got mine used with both resonator pipes, so was a pretty good deal. I like the polished silver tips because it resembles OEM.

you know why the miltlek has less drone? its a baffled muffler. theres a picture posted of the internals.
from my experience with v8s the best way to kill drone is with the use of Helmholtz pipes or really big resonators under the car vs a big muffler in the back which drones into the cabin.

Running catless DP with the single resonated. I got it for $650 with practically no miles on it so i cant complain haha. If i ever feel the need I can always cut out the resonator

That’s one heck of a deal! Debating whether I want to switch back to a catless dp and go single resonated too. It did sound great and deep actually.

I was able to get mine for $900 with both optional resonator pipes so it’s just whether I want to jack the car up and switch out the pipes (lot of work haha). I do enjoy the catted dp and have a better piece of mind without the smells.

I love the Race versions pops and crackles over the single resonated (Road+) which is also why I went to catted to keep the sound a little more tame.

I have the remus. It is very refined and imo it sounds mature. I have stock dp and front pipe. I bought this catback without the valve controller so I just ziptie the valve open. It hasn't melted yet but it is winter over here. I may have to get a metal one In summer. With it 100 percent open, it's not that bad tbh. It's only loud if your stepping on it going past 4k rpm. I had a couple of cops rite behind me and I kept it at 2k rpm and didnt get pulled over so its really not too bad. I am going to be getting a catless dp soon. I dont notice any drone. If you were riding in my car and I kept it at 2k rpm you would prob have no idea about me having a aftermarket exhaust, until I stepped on it. Accelerating through gears is even more addictive now with this exhaust. Cant wait to get a catless dp, and cold air intake

I have remus with catted DP.
Here is my write-up: https://www.civicx.com/threads/remus-exhaust-detailed-review.30099/

I always use the valve. I keep it either 30% open or 0% open most of the time when commuting to work (I drive the car daily). On fun spirited drives I do 100% open.

Is it difficult to draw power to the valve? There is a set of instructions you will get and it shows you that you tap into the power wire which the interior rear hatch light uses.

Is it correct they don’t drone? No drone at 30% open and no drone at 100% open either (in my opinion)

And have you not considered the FI as an alternative?
It is more expensive but it is another world of exhaust comes with front tube also.
apart from the application in which you can see many parameters of the car and if some day you install the downpipe,
the own control unit of the exhaust system cancels the failure in the car.
