What is this button?

OK, so dealers can install crap like that and not void the warranty but owners have to worry about quality add-ons and they void the warranty?

I often get cars and motorcycles with obnoxiously loud exhausts driving by and they set off the alarm. I've never personally bumped or rocked the car myself to test this.

I made the same argument about dealer installed accessories vs our aftermarket accessories, they'd never pay us for our added items lol. We all gotta make money somehow I guess right?

I wouldn't have taken delivery of a brand new car that had that done to it. If didn't ask for it, and if they were going to say all their vehicles have it, then they would be taking a nice chunk of change off the price. That's so crappy looking!

First thought was a dealer lot management tracker but normally they aren’t screwed in as permenant fixtures. Def have to go back and ask because with 7 on the odo, they are the only ones who could have installed it.

I guess what is worse and if you finance, they can place a vehicle tracker (much simpler) and you would never find it. That would bother me more. I would be more interested to find some device pinging cell towers or something from my car via a device and locating it. GPS trackers can be installed to anything assuming they are magnetic. But how do you find it?

Why would I post this? Driving out of the neighborhood I saw a wrecker. Said something like reclamation? That can't be good. First the car is on the flatbed. I am going to the grocery store. I return, car is on the street wrecker is still there. I have no idea about circumstances. Car is a Jaguar. Not uncommon in my neighborhood. All kinds of luxury cars.

I would worry wrong address? Someone got something wrong? I pay for my cars no finance and have title. But if a device was on the car how would you find it? Definitely not under the dash with drilled holes. Paranoid? Of course. Civic's are popular. If I had to call for a repo would it not be easier to have such a device or be concerned the wrong car was taken?

So are you sure nothing is attached to your car? Hidden?
