OK, Got your attention.

Problem - EVERY TIME I plug into AA and pick AA on the screen, I get the latest notices come up - weather, calls made / rec'd, and music with the song by Bowling for Soup. I have this song on Amazon music, on a play list. I've played it once maybe in this car. It is none of the first song on a playlist, last song, or on the current play lists I'm using. Yet it keeps popping up!

I've uninstalled Amazon music and AA on my phone. It disappeared for a day. Then came back. Without me opening ANYTHING! It just shows up.

HOW DO I STOP THIS! My next step is to take this completely off of Amazon Music, but I'm hoping someone has some input as I'm sure I'll get another song that latches onto my music screen and won't let go.

I did - on my phone. And uninstall / reinstall. Seemed to work - but then didn't. I assume you are talking about the phone as AA really resides on the phone? Am I missing an AA cache on the car?

Maybe they keep that info in........... books? I may have to open the BOOK! Argh.

Have you tried a hammer? I hear it is effective 95% of the time and curing haunted phones.

Not yet. In the past, I've used my 308. It is amazing what a 308 will do to a cell phone from 200 yds away! I'm sort of hoping I can get rid of the soup before it comes to that. :)

Ah, yeah, I just missed the part in your OP where you said you uninstalled BOTH Amazon and AA (I'd just read Amazon initially).

Is Amazon the only music service you generally use on AA? You might try switching your music input to something like Google Play or Pandora for a song or two, then go back to the Amazon app and see if that makes a difference.

If not, then it's most likely something specific going on withing Amazon tied to your account, not the app itself.

ARGH - never even thought of trying a different app. THAT will be my next step. So simple of a test.............
