I know this a month old post but damnn that wagon is clean! I can't help thinking that if you hung on to it, did an Evo front end/engine swap, with the 6 speed swap from an evo as well, you would have the ultimate unicorn wagon. Obviously all that would be crazy expensive, but the thought of it sounds amazing. These are my two previous cars...first was the Lancer sportback Ralliart Wagon. Loved that car and always had heads turning. I wish it was manual. Got the Jetta and it was the 2.slow, but i had it sitting just right with the Cadiz wheels on it. Car was sharp.
I have the number of the guy that bought it...wonder if he still has it. Very stupid of Mitsubishi to not make this a manual like they did with the Ralliart sedan. This car was great and very reliable. Did not burn oil or keep me stranded. Very good motor by Mitsu, but they should have put a manual in this from factory. I just got tired of driving auto and wanted something manual.I know this a month old post but damnn that wagon is clean! How come you decided to part ways with the STI if you dont mind me asking and how do you like the Si compared too it?Damn, some of you have long and interesting lists of cars. I had an s2000 for about 4 years and started to feel the need to get something new for once. Stupidly decided to sell it and buy a 2017 sti. Traded the sti 10 months into ownership for the 2017 si. I only say "stupidly" because I found out the hard way that I much more enjoy smaller/lighter cars.
I originally wanted to get an evo 10 at the time since there were still some FE's on the lot at some places. But those models didn't have the Recaro seats anymore and when I happened to stop by a subaru dealership one day I just thought an sti would be a good choice instead. I enjoyed that the sti was powerful, and it definitely still handled better than most other cars around, but for some reason it just didn't really excite me and it was just too heavy of a car for me to enjoy it the way I think I'm used to. Settled on an si just to have something nice enough while still being economical as a daily. My next move will be to get a used brz/frs as a weekend car and mod it heavily. I need something like an s2000 again but more modern and practical. How come you decided to part ways with the STI if you dont mind me asking and how do you like the Si compared too it?
