i hate to be brutally honest here but changing the clutch on a 6th gen is really easy..its one of the easieat cars to do a clutch job on.
Yea when you’re strong it would be easy....I don’t have brute strength to hoist it up in there. It is much easier than the 8th gen for sure...

I'm female... I bought the SI specifically to autocross. It's a great car for anyone. But I think in general, less women drive a standard these days so that's probably part of the reason you see less women driving them.

I took my wife with me to test drive the Si. She’s a more than competent manual driver. She got in, took off like a bat out of hell with me going “but I wanted to buy this one, take it easy”. She approved of it, so we bought it. She also shoots better than I do. I don’t have to ask permission, but out of respect, we do discuss purchases.

I almost never see Si’s on the road, but this morning, there was a CTR next to me with a early thirties Hispanic lady driving.

what im missing, hmmm...

the fear of knowing that a woman at any given time could divorce you for any stupid, selfish reason (shes bored, shes cheating, etc) then being screwed over by the biased, anti-male, family court system - losing custody of any children i would have with her, paying exhorbitant amounts of child support, potentially stuck paying alimoney, losing over 50% of my assets including my HOME, and net worth.

with close to 60% of marriages breaking up and the vast majority of divorces being initiated by the woman.. well, after seeing many men ive known get fucked over by the divorce machine, i did a risk assessment analysis and concluded that it definitely isnt worth it.

You are right my friend, it is definitely a risk. That's why you have to chose your partner carefully. I've been married 21 years, before I married my wife I got to know her family really well. I mean really well. Both my mother-in-law and father in law were old fashioned (they both passed away rest their souls), her brothers and sister are well established, and once I saw her family was stable I knew my chances of a good marriage were excellent. Sometimes we need to take risks, but I see where you are coming from.

Now back to cars!

Just a random thought, but you don't need to call them "females" lol, feels super weird. Like reddit-weird. Just call them women/chicks/ladies/whatever like everyone else. We got no issues calling eachother dudes/guys or anything. Maybe it's just me but calling them "females" comes across as if people are trying to dance around the topic of what to call chicks lol

I have only seen about 3 10th gen si since they came out. And nearly no type r.

Today however I had a 10th gen pull up next to me and beep + wave. She was almost as excited as I was to see another one on the road. Of course I chose to go flying past and wave ;)

There is a woman out there with your balls in her hand...you just don’t know it yet

And i have seen a few Si’s here where i am at. No woman drivers as far as i know.

And you too are right, along with Boosted. It’s very risky. But it could also be rewarding if we choose wisely. Also, when you have old age and sickness one day staring you in the face, it’s nice to know we have somebody we can depend on and be there for us, and vice versa.
And like you, I too knew my wife’s family long before I even met her, and her parents are also old fashioned family folk.
A big plus is I met my wife while vacationing and being hosted by her family in the Philippines. She’s Philippina, and her culture looks way down on divorce...a big no no. With them, Marriage is all about keeping the family strong no matter what, and fully supporting, loyalty and affection to the husband. But along with what Boosted was getting at, I needed to protect myself financially before marriage, just in case. Assets were joint with my parents;)
And no, she doesn’t get to drive the Si. No full drivers license yet, and...it’s not her car lol. She’ll get her sporty ride after more experience
