That really depends on how hard you are on the vehicle. I did my first one early and will likely change every 5K or so, but we beat on it for testing every day.
I'm curious, what's the mileage looking like on ya'lls test cars.

I think I was at 50% oil life left at around 3000 miles when I first flashed with KTuner. I went in at 5k miles for the first maintenance. Service advisor didn't say anything about the maintenance minder being way higher than 20%
Bruh, that makes me feel alot better about this. I mean I was still going to go in and if they caught it oh well. But now I'm more confident about it.

The car runs too damn good already with just ktuner, no way in hell I'm going back stock. Just for maintaince and if I sell lol

Since we are on the subject, does the dealer have options for different types of oil? Like say royal purple or any other kind, or even if I provide my own oil would they use it?

Highly doubt it but worth a try

Mine used to do always reset to 100 with the Flashpro so I started using my Trip B as a reminder when to service it

I actually installed my KTuner right after a dealer oil service and flashed a few tunes while still at 100 so I have no idea if it's still a problem yet lol

So does the oil life stay at 100% forever after doing the tune or does doing the tune just reset it to 100% and then it works normally after that?

I know on my 8th Gen with flashpro it stayed at 100%, I'm gonna check and see when I get in my car after work. But I'm thinking it's going to be the same.

I really would like a fix for this, but at the same time I'm not going to stop using a tuner. Because the performance out weighs the loss of 1 function by a landslide

It will work normally after you flash the tune, and won't be lost on subsequent flashes. It may be lost on your first flash, when returning to factory, and if you end up having to recover via recovery mode.

So, if I were to start using a tuner right after getting it serviced, could I flash it custom, back to stock and then custom again? And MM should work even if I flash to stock? I wound up getting a maintenance plan from the dealership that covers all the MM codes, so I don't want to waste that money.

I've flashed it back to factory to take it back in for maintenance and it kept the MM at the % where it was. It only reset the MM the first time I flashed the car.

Awesome, thanks for the answer. I should be due for my first service in a month or two, and a tuner is pretty much the next mod I want to spend money on.

I've never had a tune alter anything with the MM. The other day, I flashed back to stock for my upcoming B1 service, no issues. Took it to the dealer today, got the work done and the dealer reset the MM to 100%. Got home and flashed back to my favorite tune and MM is at 100%. :)

Here's an update:

Flashed back to stock the other day and reflashed my. Tunes on it. Alls well, oil percentage is counting down again, and I will not worry about it anymore.

Thanks everyone and thanks @KTuner for all the help.
