I feel like I'm going crazy, and can't find any info online about this issue:

I cannot, no matter how hard I try, find a comfortable driver's seat adjustment for this car. After my 1 hour commute, the muscles around my quads and upper thigh are tight and exhausted from hovering my foot above the gas pedal. The spring is not strong enough for me to rest my foot on in an neutral position.

I tried sliding the seat back to give room for my foot to rest neutrally without pressing on the pedal, but then the clutch and steering wheel are too far away. I have a hunch that this wouldn't be an issue if the seat offered more thigh support (was longer, or not parallel with the floor).

In my last car, the driver's seat was like a bucket, almost holding your legs up in the air (it also was not drive by wire).

This is my only issue... I've considered asking the dealer to install the electric seat so I can adjust the seat bottom and tilt it up more. Does anyone else have an issue with the DBW throttle?

I'm 6'4'' and I am having the same issue. The seat in my 16' Lx sedan seemed to go back 1 click further than my new hatch. If I could adjust the front of the seat up a little I'd be fine. I'm thinking of putting a series of washers under the front of the seat to raise it a bit. It doesn't seem to bother me as much because my commute is only about 20 minutes.

I agree the gas pedal is a little soft, I always find myself over-pressing it and boy does it get uncomfortable on long commutes.

I'm not even that tall, 5'11" and I'm like one notch from having the seat all the way back. With the height set all the way down

Have you tried lowering/raising the seat? In my coupe, it seems to raise the front of the seat more than the back, kind of tilting it more than just raising it.

Same..... I get extremely uncomfortable. I'll find a good position and then the next time I get in my car I'm changing it all around again. My biggest thing is my knee rubs against the center console just like it did in my 2012 Civic. I'm only 6ft. Seems to me that Honda has been bad about leg room for the driver. The seat positions dosent help

How much of your foot is on the gas pedal? All the way to your midfoot (or heel?), or just your toes?

Did u try lowering your seat so I can rest your leg more flat? I've had this problem in previous cars but I've never felt it in my Civic. I'm only 6' but I keep my seat almost all the way down and I feel like I have plenty of room.

It's not so much "the room" I'm very tall and have plenty of room, it's the lack of leg support Im talking about and the op also I believe. I had more leg support in the sedan as the seat went back a little further which caused my thigh to rest on the seat more. I've got the seat down in the back and up in the front as far as it will go. I need about 1 more inch of seat under my mid thigh to support my legs. Right now it feels like 100% of my weight is on my butt(lower back) instead of being distributed through my thighs.

After I had knee replacement surgery, I used a folded towel to raise the front edge of the seat, supporting the rear of my leg and lifting it a bit, kinda angled me back, seemed to help. Also softened the front edge. This was in my 2016 EX-L Coupe, now have a 2019 Touring Coupe, same seats, still using a towel. Not the best designed seat, definitely needs more angle adjustment, and please, Honda, some lumbar support!! And some additional padding. For an almost 28k car, you can go better! Love the heated leather butx should have been full power adjustable, I'm sure you can figure out power seats in the touring level Coupe,

One suggestion that MAY work, is something like the Remus responder / pedal box. I have one for my car and the intended use is to make the throttle pedal more sensitive to input from your foot. However, you can also dial the sensitivity back so you need more foot angle to have same level of throttle %

Alternatively, you can drive in comfort mode. This requires more pressure from your foot to get same level of throttle % compared to sport mode
