This is a good deal - it costed me $9+ to pick up at the dealer in person. Easy 1 second installation - just pop it on

Do you happen to know the part number for the correct part that fits the sedan? Thanks.

There was a service bulletin for 16-17 civics basically they changed the gas cap and also added a the lid what you see here.
It was because water could get in and when freezing temps come the gas cap gets frozen this prevents it

Doubt that applies to me in sunny Socal...but good to know. Wonder if it'll work with the existing cap or if I gotta change that as well.

Any chanceyou know where to find that bulletin? I searched my VIN at Honda website but nothing to do with this issue was present.
I have a 2018 hatchback and it didnt come withone of these and I'm having the capless port freeze up. Pretty sure water must have been getting into the gas tank when its warm out too and just didn't realize it until the cold weather hit and now its icing up.
A tad concerned with what side effects that will have long term.
My dealership has ordered in one of these for me now, suppose to arrive on Saturday but what about all the water thats entered my gas tank during the last 7 months.

This is the service bulletin with the recommended correction.

Thanks for the link @moistener that helps me identify the part number for the fuel warning label that I'll need since this part covers the existing one.

@RedGiant217 It is NOT available...because I bought it. Fit like a glove. Costs about the same if you bought from hondapartsunlimited.com or similar OEM parts vendors.

Since you have a CTR you'll want to order the 'Premium fuel recommended' sticker to place on it, since this actually covers the existing one.
