And each TICK was Identical ? ie All ticked off at the same time. !!

While it could be that the checks were transferred from another Shop Form, it would look a lot better if they took the time to be a little creative, and make the ticks slightly different, so it looked as if the checks were actually done, rather than the form just FAKED !!
Maybe the form is filled out on a computer and then printed off? I'm not sure what the big deal is if all the check boxes look the same.

No, they said Honda wouldn’t pay for the 4th quart - go figure
Ugg, dealers are effing ridiculous. They are supposed to pay for 3.7 qts of oil. If they charged anyone for oil, they ripped their customers off.

What the Dealer charges for that 4th Quart (Really should be 0.7 quarts, but they probably put all that quart in so that's why its Overfilled), - what they charge is probably more than their cost for all 4 quarts !!!
And being so tight, not to fit a sub $10 oil filter is just plain ridiculous.

This is the 1st service work that many have done by their Dealer, and is the biggest PUT-OFF to ever taking your car back to that Dealer, who Nickeled_and_Dimes you so.
NO IDEA about Customer Service or Customer Relations.

If only they would say . Honda will not cover the 4th Quart or the Oil filer, but we will, at no charge to you, because we believe that is the right thing to do, and we value you as our customer, an look forward to serving you with all your future service work .. then the Service Dept would have a customer for life -- and make so much more money over the years, ( than the $10-$20 they would have charged you.)

No Business sense at all ( and very little Auto Repir Technical sense as well !!)
The whole USA "Car Dealership" setup is just one big SCAM.

um, if they are charging anyone for oil, they are scamming you. you shouldnt get charged for 1 oz of oil much less a quart. They warranty work bill rate for the dealer to honda includes 4 qts of oil. If they charged you or anyone else, you should let corporate honda know. They are pocketing money they shouldn't be. It right here in the tsb

What dealer. You should walk in there with the TSB I just posted and tell them you are going to blast them on reviews and call corporate. Imagine how many people are just paying that and not questioning it. You should hold them accountable

Oil Capacity is 3.7quarts for 1.4T and 4.4 Quarts for 2.0

So Honda will cover 4.0 Quarts.

So, doing the math, based on there being more 1.5L civics than 2.0 Civics, the Dealer should average out with 4.0 Quarts being reimbursed by Honda.

Actually, as they are NOT typically changing the Filter, the oil they use is slightly less .. UNLESS they overfill, which it seems a lot are doing !!!

And the whole FILTER NOT COVERED is just plain CHEAP Honda !!!

Something not mentioned is any "Oil Disposal Fees" ????

Whats they SHOULD be doing ( Very nice write up on Honda Oil change)

I do have to say, we've had a few cold days here in NY since the TSB was completed and the car definitely does warm up faster as a result of what they did. We've got some arctic air coming ( 0-5degrees) Wednesday into Thursday so i'm curious. I was doing some really short trips to pick up my daughter from work and I had a noticeable gas smell from the dipstick as well as the overfull condition this last oil change.

Ok, interesting. Today I left work it was 35 degrees out and raining- I get immediately on the highway and usually after the first mile and a half of about 45-50mph my car is close to operating temp and heat is blowing hot. Today after that mile and a half the car was still not fully warmed up ( a little under on the gauge what it usually is and not blowing heat as hot). Then the temperature gauge suddenly goes all the way down to cold ( no lights on) and I have no heat at all. At the next traffic light I enter an uphill stretch and get on it and the gauge goes back up just under where it normally operates and I have heat back but still not as hot as usual. Bizzare behavior

Had mine done on Tuesday. The last 2 days has been insanely cold due to the polar vortex and I noticed that the car does warm up a bit faster. I also feel that the RPMs stay up higher too (I have a CVT) so they might've changed when the CVT changes the gear ratios. Keeping the RPM up might be a way for it to achieve faster engine warm up but I think that comes at the cost of gas consumption. As a result I think it might end up consuming a lot more gas. Will have to monitor the gas usage in the next tank since cuz of the cold and service done the current MPG computer is way off from what I normally get.

Had the recall yesterday. I reported a high oil level and heavy gas smell. They said it's a recall for my area. I also had my battery prematurely fail. Both under warranty. I live in southern NY and mostly drive 40 minutes a day to work. Not many short trips in cold weather. Not sure how this recall is going work. I'm nervous to flash back to my K tuner at this point. May wait a while or just sell it .

Contact ktuner. They have an update for the software so you can keep what the dealer fixed and still flash your car.
