I will have to check what its like while warm but when its cold it went from 1500rpm to 2000rpmWhat's your idle rpm now compared to before? I have a CVT not sure if same as manual but it would idle at 600 with no electronics on (headlight/fans) and 700 with anything on.
Seems like it would use more gas if idle is up..
Dam that's what I was afraid of. Running at 2000 during warm up is such a waste of gas...I will have to check what its like while warm but when its cold it went from 1500rpm to 2000rpm
Please report back on idle RPM's on startup and when warmed up. I'm curious .Had my car done today after work. Under 90 minutes...
Software update, control unit swapped out & oil changed.
Pulled in at 3:40, out before 5:00.
Have to see if it behaves/feels any different in the morning.
It buzzed up to 2k for a second or so, then settled back down, but it was -4C this morning when I left for work. After sitting all day it went up to 1800 and back down again almost immediately. Outside temperature was 4C at the time. Please report back on idle RPM's on startup and when warmed up. I'm curious .

Warm idle is unchanged.
Whatever this software update does is, it’s kinda invisible.
Doesn't that give you a nice "warm and Fuzzy feeling" when you take your car to the dealer, and see that !!!I had mine done today- funny they said Honda would cover the plug washer and 4 quarts of synthetic oil but not the additional quart and the filter. Only thing I noticed different about the car is that they said on the ticket that they adjusted the tire pressures to factory specs- which apparently are 150PSI
Oh yes, got the report with all of the check marks too!!!Doesn't that give you a nice "warm and Fuzzy feeling" when you take your car to the dealer, and see that !!!
The whole thing with charging you for the Oil Filter, and for the extra 20% oil required to fill to OVER the dip stick marker, is just plainly stupid. All it does is PISS OFF the Customer, and makes them despise the Dealer even more for being so petty.
BTW: Did you get one of those "Check" reports.. where they check off about 30 items, on a pretty red and green form. I bet that made you feel good as well !!
And each TICK was Identical ? ie All ticked off at the same time. !!Oh yes, got the report with all of the check marks too!!!
Something about those dealer guys where they just have to ridiculously overinflate the tires !!! Drives nuts !!And each TICK was Identical ? ie All ticked off at the same time. !!
While it could be that the checks were transferred from another Shop Form, it would look a lot better if they took the time to be a little creative, and make the ticks slightly different, so it looked as if the checks were actually done, rather than the form just FAKED !!
I expressly told them NOT to touch the Tires or Tire pressures, and not to test them, not to touch them in any way (Including wheel nuts), and that was on the Order the "Customer Service Agent" created when I 1st spoke to him.
But when I got the car back, the Tire Pressure box was checked off as GREEN (ok OK), and I know that they could not have checked them, as I purposely had them over-inflated to 37 PSI, just to catch them !!!
they really put 5 qts of oil in your engine?I had mine done today- funny they said Honda would cover the plug washer and 4 quarts of synthetic oil but not the additional quart and the filter.
