Any Honda fans from Japan on here?

For what the title asks, i hope there are some...

For those from Japan, do you have the grinding issue there as well? And, what do most of you use for the tranny fluid, OEM? or other aftermarket brands?

What does japan vs USA matter? Not like the transmission was magically built in a different location with different parts or fluid.

No grinding issues, better drivers there. Here, driver error.

There was a theory that right hand drive market had less grinding, due to gear change action, more experience with manuals etc, but nah we get the grinding in the uk as well.....

Hehe...good explanation as my left hand is indeed much slower than my right hand

Lol whoever thought that needs to get their head checked. Gear change action works the same regardless of what side the car you sit on lol. Also most people who drive a manual have been there who life, likely just as many "newbies" in japan or EU as the USA as well.

Hi, I'm a Honda Fan "IN" Japan. Waiting for my FK8. The JDM market is different here and our U.S counterparts fail to recognize that sometimes. I can't post any pictures here....that's strange. When I click the Image button it ask me for an URL. My pics are on my hard drive.

Have you joined any local FK8 forums or groups? Did you hear any "grinding" issue or complaints there? Also, do the locals stick with OEM Honda fluids or use aftermarket? For latter, what brand?

And how's the JDM market there?

I am still not sure why you are asking about Japan though? The car is still built in the U.K. With the engine in the states....did you think they get upgrades to the gearbox on the ferry over?

To upload an image file from your Hard Drive.
(1) Click on More Options.
(2) Then UPLOAD a FILE
(3) Select file from your HD

BTW: I also though you had to use a URL, so was wasting time, putting any images I had on my HD, to a website, so I could specify a URL. Duhhhh .. The above is obviously so much quicker & easier

Actually, I was fortunate enough to meet one of the staff who was working at the Swindon plant. Type Rs outbound for Japan have to pass more tests due to road regulations here. We still get the 320HP though. Sorry, I missed your post and this is such a late reply. I've been busy following my blueprint.

I think I will get a ek9 and FD2 but not this one if I live there .
