Thanks!

you paid 52,000 for it. That’s not msrp.

MSRP is at the top of the sticker, though.
That doesn’t matter. That market adjustment is exactly what a “mark up” is. Of course they will sell the car for 36k but not before they throw in 10k worth of addons and markups.

No, I didn’t pay the dealer mark up. MSRP is listed above the dealer mark up. I posted since a member asked for an example.

Ahhh ok. God damn they put 16k in free profit on that tag. Ouch.

curious about the "great people there" comment. With a $16k "market adjustment" price, whether you happened to pay it or not, tells me that's a dealership to avoid at all costs.

I think it depends on the dealer. The dealer I bought mine at for MSRP had a $5k ADM and they came off of it easily with a little back and fourth. The only negatives were they tried to stick me with a high interest rate and some little cry baby on this forum reached out to the dealer to complain after I posted because they didn't get the car.

I think the big issue is people lack negotiation skills and/or don't present themselves as a serious buyer.

Could that be just a customer feel good marketing thing? "This add-on line is what the market says the car is worth, but we are such nice guys and will sell it to you for the price on the top line!"

...and yes I am skeptical of dealers...

I didn’t pay markup and left with my CTR at MSRP. Great people there and very courteous.
