Tough to beat the value of the General Altimax.

Personally I run the 235-40-18 Bridgestone Blizzak WS-80. Money no object? I'd run Nokian Hakkapelittas

I have my winters on steelies 215/50R17 Dunlop Graspic DS-3

Got em for 420 mounted. At that price can’t complain they get the job done. I am not really driving it hard in the snow but last weekend snow fall was couple of inches and they were good.

That's cheap as hell. Mind if I ask where you found that deal?

This is an interesting system. Would you say it is significantly more cost effective to sell and rebuy your tires when they get halfway through their life? Mind if I ask the approx. new purchase price vs what you would normally get for them when they have 6/32's left?
Yeah haha it works for me. So I usually pay around $400 for the set of four tires. I do probably about 8k miles a season on them, so they're probably down to 6-7/32" after 16k+ miles or so, I haven't kept exact track. Once that time comes around, I dismount them and usually sell them for around $200, at which they usually sell pretty quick in the fall around here. I'll probably be following the same route on the Si as well.

Found that discounttiredirect has a killer deal right now. These would be $483 - $75 instant rebate - $50 mail in rebate = $358

My uncle works for a distributor that sells to the dealerships so I had him buy them in his emp discount.
