We've had several customers running the stage 1 on track days without issues (Some posted TunerView videos online even). A few have modified stage 1s. Some have full custom tunes as well.

The mass airflow sensor helps the ECU deliver the proper fuel for the amount of flow coming in, even on the stock tune. Where the factory will not take advantage of modifications is the torque limits. It will attempt to pull back once it thinks those are exceeded.

All my track days have been on stage 1 tune with downpipe.

No issues at all other than the stupid P0560 code that I can't make go away. Not the best representative of my lap times, this was my first ever dry session at RA so forgive the lap time. Come march 8 I'm hoping to get to 1:40.

Yes! I'm actually going to load it up this weekend and test it out. The year's end was very busy for us so it sort of got pushed to the back burner.

I will load it up this weekend and email you with the results.

Thank you again for working on that for me. I know it has been a while.

Hey guys - wanted to share a long-term usage update with this group. I just had an oil analysis performed by Blackstone Labs at 12,614 miles (this is the second oil change in the life of the car)

I had the ECU unlocked and Ktuner stage 1 installed at about 1,000 miles on the clock. Therefore, this oil analysis data includes about 7,200 miles of Ktuner Stage 1 driving.

Then at around 8,200 miles I had my full bolt-ons and various custom tunes installed by Derek and Innovative Motorworks (372 whp and 376 whp), so another ~4,000 miles of even more aggressive tune on the car. More info of my mods / build is here: https://www.civicx.com/threads/type...ew-prl-remus-ptp-usr.30111/page-6#post-549012

I drive in a "spirited" manner regularly. I also commute with this car daily (30-40 miles round trip, stop and go city traffic, and some highway miles).

Based on the oil analysis, things seem to be in good shape. Although Aluminum, Iron, Copper and Silicon amounts and flashpoint were elevated vs. universal averages, this is likely the result of lingering wear-in and sealer material from the factory as the report mentions (which is normal at this stage based on their experience; also there is another thread where @jonnys_honda had some similar results: https://www.civicx.com/threads/civic-type-r-fk8-engine-oil-analysis-tracking.16681/).

I will get another oil analysis done at the next oil change to see if things are improving, staying the same, or deteriorating. Also for those that are curious, the oil analysis costs ~$30. I asked my Honda dealer to fill up a small container with the waste oil during my oil change. Blackstone Labs sends you a kit in the mail (for free) to collect and mail the oil sample. Results came back in a few weeks via email. Pretty easy.

Additional info and report below. @KTuner @D-RobIMW @PRL Motorsports

Date of Oil Collection: January 25, 2019
Oil Use Interval (mi/km): Analysis was performed at 12,614 miles (second oil change in the car's life)
Oil Grade: 0W/20 (OEM)
Region you Reside: Pennsylvania (Mid-Atlantic)
Track Vehicle (yes/no): No

Hey guys - not sure if this was shared in this thread, but there is new TunerView software out which is pretty sweet - download it at http://www.ktuner.com/tunerview/TunerViewLite.apk

The new software comes with some additional layouts, but the most important new functionality I think is the min / max feature. This way, you can actually go for a drive and see your peak boost pressures, high / low IAT temps, etc without having to take your eyes off the road. Pretty sweet (pics below).

@KTuner - Thanks for listening to our feedback on the min / max feature. I saw that you guys added this drag strip / 0-60 data tracker layout as well. However, I can't seem to get it to work (see third pic). The "START" button is greyed out and everytime I click on it it just beeps. Can you please tell me how to use this? Thanks.

Is there a simple process to upgrade the versions? I am trying to recall how I installed it in the first place. lol

These are steps if you have Hondahack installed on your head unit:
  1. Click on the link I posted, it'll start downloading automatically.
  2. Save the file to a USB drive
  3. Insert USB drive into the center console USB slot
  4. Open Honda Hack app on the head unit, go to Uninstall Apps and uninstall old TunerView Lite App
  5. Then go to install apps from disk (or something like that). Click on the TunerView Lite App file you have on the USB drive
  6. Let it install
  7. Done!

lucky for me I don't have to worry about taking my eyes too far off the road. I mounted my V2 in front of me.

I kept thinking of doing this TunerView software option, but I don't want to look down to my right.

Nice stuff though. It'd be interesting to see this drag strip option to work out.

This is the mount I use for those interested in using this vice the TunerView

@idragmazda looking at the photo you have of the drag/0-60. Have you made sure you are at a complete stop? Noticed you are going 9mph and made me think the start is greyed out because of that.

Also thanks for the quick instructions
