Where is the cigarette outlet located in 2016 Civic EX?

Dumb question I know I know - but where is the cigarette outlet located in 2016 Civic EX?

Edit: Thanks guys, I just wanted to know so I can install a dash cam that has a cigarette lighter charger for the camera.

not sure out the EX but i know in the hatchback sport its behind that opening in front of the shifter

There is a 12 volt power socket. No cigaret lighter.

I believe they are both the same.
And it is below the shifter on the other side of the USB charging port.

Cig lighter sockets are different type of sockets. They have spring loaded side grabbers that release the cig lighter but won't let it fly out once the resistor coil (of the cig lighter) is heated up. Often, those are also on a 20 amp fuse.

Well see I am a millennial and wasnt around in the age of when everyone smoked lol.

Mine (EU hatch) has no cigarette lighter / ashtray. I don’t think they provide them anymore..

alot of people still call those ports cigarette lighter ports because thats what they were used for sooo many years.

True, Honda and many other car makers have not offered ashtray in their cars for a while. Ashtray + 12V cig lighter is dinosaur.

Its located in your pocket. I think they call it a bic.

You can still plug a cigarette lighter coil into that plug. They just stopped including the coil, but kept the socket because so many things designed for use in cars utilize that plug.

Seems like everyone still smokes, at least where I live lol. But, I work in a hospital so it's job security for us and anyone that sells oxygen equipment.

Two threads on basically the same topic? This forum needs better moderation... or I just have impossible standards lol

How'd that installation work out for you? Installing your dashcam but don't even know where the socket is? Yeah, dumb question, LOL.
