Hi all,
So the TPMS on my R went off 2 days ago and I just today checked the air (haven't driven since). I noticed my dealer filled my OEM tires with ~50 PSI of nitrogen air. I lost some air on my front left and back right tires to 48PSI, so rather than going up, I adjusted the front right and back left instead to 48. Reasoning is because I saw labeling around the tires indicate a max of 51PSI. I drove for about 10-15 miles and the TPMS went off again, got home and now they're reading 52PSI. I assume the difference is from reading cold vs. having the tires wamed up from the drive? What exactly is the recommended air for these Continentals??

Also the label by the door panel indicates 35front/33rear PSI setup... Is this... really what other folks are riding with their stock tires? I don't want the air to be too low and cause the stock wheels' balance. I already ride in comfort mode in most cases, on roads that I'm unsure of, to mitigate the issue.

Thanks for your input.

Ugh, check your suspension for orange bump stops. It sounds like they didn't do a good inspection on receipt of the car - the car ships with 50 psi but the dealer is supposed to adjust it when they receive it.

Drop the pressure to what the door panel says - 35 front, 33 rear. Reset your TPMS through your infotainment. You should be good to go.

The CTR uses indirect TPMS. Meaning it doesn't have sensors inside the wheels that measure the actual pressure, but sensors outside that measure either wheel rotation/diameter/wheel speed. If one is off, it will set the system off. Theoretically it shouldn't matter how much air is in the tires, as long as they're all within range of each other. Try re-calibrating the sensors in the head unit settings.

Can you fill me in more on these bump stops? Perhaps pictures? I can't find more info about this on our forum. I know this had happen to someone I know and their z06 delivery, but didn't know ours had similar delivery prep setup.

I've been getting more of these lately, but only when I push it a little in colder weather (<30-40 F).

Thank you. Just checked and crazy enough, mine have them too. Though they're basically just left zip-tied, with one of the sides left the spring and the other loose, not holding anything. I wonder why they couldn't just bother taking the whole thing off then if that was the case...
You should take pics and contact your dealer. Escalate to Honda if necessary - they're in for a world of shit if they faked the PDI.

I think it's worth bringing up a case and visit the dealership tomorrow. 15psi over + the spring stoppers are still there + charged $200 for nitrogen = fishy city.

Nitrogen fills are snake oil. You just paid $200 for green valve stem caps.

I used to work for a Ford dealer as a mechanic. Our "Nitrogen" machine was just a giant flashy air compressor with a filter on it. I wasn't aware that just a filter could separate nitrogen out of the air. The left that futuristic vending machine right in the service drive so people could admire it.
