Some people have success prying them off. But ultimately that will just scratch up your wheel. Take the wheel off and is the butt end of the screwdriver to pop them off from behind the wheel. Super easy that way.

They just pop out. Take the handle of a screw driver and give it a good hit squarely in the center with your hand on the other side to catch it.

I would recommend that, yes. I tried to pry them off with the wheels still on and succeeded in putting a scratch (albeit a very small one because I was super careful) in my wheel next to the center cap. I gave up and just pulled the wheels.

Yes. You'll scratch your wheels and destroy your OEM center cap trying to do it on the car.

I did it without taking wheels off but you have to be super fine and slow and take your time. Removing wheels would be a lot easier but not in 20degree weather... advice is never attack it just the screwdriver. Use some type of cloth or towel over the screwdriver. Also there are some plastic trim remover tools that are under $5, maybe try a plastic tool vs a screw driver. Also, I used a mini screwdriver not full size. You get more control with a smaller screwdriver. Ones for like fixing glasses or whatever...

...why would you not just take the wheels off? Sounds crazy to scratch up your rims prying them from the front when they are designed to pop out...

Definitely. When you take the wheel off, all you need to do is press the back side of the center cap and they pop out very easily.

I put the same caps on a few months ago. I used 2 small flat-head screwdrivers to pry off the oem caps.
First apply a strong tape to the surface of the rim to protect them. But obviously, removing the rim is the best way to go

Looks like a great idea. But gotta be careful with our OEM caps because they have raised H emblem, so it's not smooth and flush for strong contact like in the video. Plus the raised H could be pryd loose as well. But definitely worth a try

I tried that tape method but it didn’t work for me. And jacking was not an option I wanted at 20’degree weather. So I used a mini screwdriver and took my time. I didn’t put tape around the circle but that is an added level of protection. I did it without any damage but it does take patience and time. Taking off the wheels is the best method for sure.

I got red emblem caps for Christmas and was wondering the same thing. Everyone says the safest way is to take off the wheels and push them out from behind so I went over to my local mechanic and asked him to do it. He took one look at the wheels, came back with a small flat head and masking tape and pried out all 4 in seconds with no scratches. You could only imagine how I felt after that. Needless to say he refused to charge me anything.
